It's one of the unwritten rules that we don't interact with people — it spoils the fun. Null repeats this point at every opportunity something happens. People are still free to make their own choices, most users don't condone these actions. Also there are other sites that can facilitate this, like doxbin (they published dox of keffals before it was on kiwi), twitter, other "lolcow" sites and dozens of private discord servers (Isabellas "chess club" for example).

I still find this weird. He's supposed to have died June 27, 2021. Records say they go through Dec 2021, which should cover his death.

On average there are ~12 deaths a year in Japan (from having looked back the 20 years of records). 2021, 5 are listed until May, on par for an average 12-death year, and then there are no more.
This is why I'd asked in the Byuu thread if anyone had actually bothered contacting the embassy to ensure this reported data was correct, that the second 6 month report has actually been included, but I was just laughed at. Apparently that one source is enough, even though the data seems peculiarly anomalous. There are some other years that only have 4-5 deaths, but it's so weird that all the deaths are lumped into the start of 2021 and none are reported since his ostensible date of death.

Don't get me wrong, while I think it's unclear I lean toward him being alive, but it's based off of weak data imo. (The reason I really lean toward "alive" is his thread where he posted here, talking about wanting to get away from attention & retire.)
Still, the only source people cite for why he's definitely alive looks like it might be wrong data.

The new video is one of the most frustrating things Dev's ever put out. He spends over twenty minutes outlining the fact that, by any objective measure, trans women are men in dresses. Then, he decides to just fucking throw objective reality out the window and say that he thinks they should be treated as women, regardless. He can't bring himself, even in the face of evidence that he himself laid out, to admit that he's been had. That people born a man can never be a woman, and vice versa. If he could just let go of this fiction, I'd imagine he'd feel a lot less cognitive dissonance. He'd certainly get into fewer arguments with his chat.

Just watched the video.

I find that, throughout all of the different definitions and different points addressed within this video, there remains one issue not at all detailed, that being the consequences of making a decision.

The main problem with Dev is that he may outline certain aspects of different viewpoints, whether "left" or "right" wing, and try to come up with some kind of (fairly weak) thesis, but it doesn't address the outcomes or day-to-day inner workings of what is being discussed. This modus operandi may seem the logical and reasonable way of figuring out what is right, but it doesn't solve any of the results that coincide with what the issue is, in this scenario being the Trans Question, in any meaningful time frame. You can debate the semantics of "what is a woman", or the definition of the word "gender", or the definition of any word all day long, but that doesn't answer the questions of "should Trans women play women's sports?" or "should Trans women use the women's bathroom?". Dev essentially, despite taking 35 minutes to to do so, ended up in the same place at the end of the video as the beginning of it. It didn't really offer any kind of practical application to solving any kind of problem. Propaganda is being spewed from all corners, constantly bombarding the eyeballs of anyone forced to notice. People are presently losing their jobs, are being censored en masse, are being sent death threats (possibly worse) due to their positions on trans issues, and certain perverts and grifters are taking advantage of this cloudy environment in order to make personal gains.

That's not to say these despicable individuals wouldn't find another way to do so, or attempt to get what they want, in different circumstances. It is also not to say that certain people deserve to be treated poorly as a result of who they are or appear to be. But to fence sit this hard in the name of "centrist thinking" is wasting time that other people, whether right or left, are utilizing to fulfill their own end goals. I understand wanting to try and take it all as it goes, but by doing so, Dev once again renders himself impotent on helping to make any meaningful difference on the issue.

Once again, he continues to sit on his hands, while also trying to seem like the smartest person in the room for doing so.
