I explained on Twatter but to be clear, some time ago I was getting drunk and hanging out with Uzalu and Scrump. Dev had been feuding with both of them for ages and I asked them both to explain to me exactly what the respective beefs were about.
In the case of Scrump, the issue was that Dev was publicly talking shit and lying about him (IIRC on Sargon's server but it might have been on his own server, idr). Scrump felt that he was compelled to show DMs to illustrate that Dev was being two-faced and duplicitous regarding him.
In the case of Uzalu, he and his Cabal found a massive exploit in Dev's Minecraft server that would allow for backward access into users PCs, such that, for example, a malicious actor could download CP or other heinous material onto any user's computer. Cabal tried to warn Dev about this. He ignored it, so they used part of the same exploit to raid his server and illustrate how broken this flaw was. You can of course think these actions were wrong. Yes, Dev was lying/trash-talking his supposed friend Scrump in public while being friendly in private and some people think there is never any reason to share DMs, even in self-defense, which I can understand.
Yes, Uzalu and Cabal did fuck with Dev's server, but it was a form of 'white hat' not-even-hacking, just trying to get him to pay attention to something that could have had very, very serious legal implications for Dev. Now, back to the fateful night of my "backstabbing"; Im getting drunk (as I am want to do) and being relayed these two stories from Uzalu and Scrump, so I suggest we add Dev to the call and squash the beef. Dev did not answer, although he was online, and responded to me by saying "don't do that again", which I shared with Uzalu and Scrump.
That is my epic betrayal of Dev.
I have repeatedly apologized to Dev for showing the "dont do that again" message and he has continued to shit talk me both in public and in private. Oh well.
