Dev really can channel the "Source? Source? Do you have a source?" meme with his autistic worship of centrism and refusal to see malice where it obviously exists. To quote one of the comments under that video : Dev is the kind of person who could watch a guy shove 10 people into a bottomless pit but as long as the guy said "it was an accident" he would still happily walk up to the edge of the pit himself. And after being pushed in he'd spend his eternal fall thinking "Wow, what a coincidence that I fell in too".

I've been noticing that most of his videos feel very vapid now. The Feminist Bear one was almost a complete regurgitation of the Sargon video. The minimum wage one fell into the "muh centrism" fallacy during the last 5 minutes. I think his Skullgirls video was the last excellent one he did, and now since the election is only 6 months away, he's opting to be more milktoast than usual.

I really like his 2020 election coverage when every single video of his during the season was basically tearing the dems a new one, from mayor groomberg to the Biden rape allegations to Bernie drops out to Kamalas cop mishandling to "you aint black", not every single video was excellent but they were very very good especially compared to now.

Meme reaction content really is one of the signs of YouTube channel has cancer. It's easy, cheep, and fun to make, but it kills it in the long run when the creator abandons their original, interesting content and gourge themselves on the slop of monitizable memes. They start to put little to no effort into their non-meme review videos, and the original audience leaves (with very little newcomers due to the sheer number of other generic meme-reactors)

Also, Dev reveals that, now that body has cooled and similar but more relevant topics have moved in, he will be making HIS video on Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. Harley Quinn is infinitely more interesting as a character who is potentially redeemable but too far-gone to break the habit. At the very least, she could maintain her existing characterisation after leaving the Joker instead of always defaulting to a smarmy, generic eye-rolling mouthpiece of whatever given writer.

Harley's main point was that she was a lover of the Joker in a twisted sort of way, take away that relationship and all you have is a generic girlboss stereotype that has been done to death.
