I hate using the term bad faith, but c'mon Dev. This is the oldest trick in the book. "I reframed what you said in the worst way possible, don't you feel stupid now?" No, that's not what he said. He said that there is a building pressure, and if one side is exclusively poking and prodding the other, eventually the one being prodded with retaliate, and cause a bigger fight. If we watch a bull get fucked with over and over and it eventually gores the guy messing with it, do we not feel somewhat justified that the bull fucked up the guy fucking with it? Whether or not that bull is "mOrALly JuST" or not?

Is pointing out the reality of the situation, and not explicitly saying I am on some side who will retaliate, mean that I am now suddenly saying I want this eventual fight to happen? This shit is why people have a hard time seeing Dev as truly centrist these days, because the obvious middleground position is to just point something out as an observer with no real side to your name. But no, Dev has to not only point out sides, but actively divest himself from one of them.
 
Dev is a coward of the highest order. The bad faith in that reply is fucking astounding. He just ignored the entire argument to make a strawman.

Every system needs certain cornerstones of that system to be held as "sacred" in a way. It's the reason why democracy fell to Fascism/Nazism in Italy, Austria & Germany but every where else that had those same movements stayed democratic (excluding puppet states). The elites & a large chunk of the population in Italy, Austria & Germany hated democracy.

As for better alternatives, I think enlightened dictatorship is pretty goated. Look up Lee Kuan Yew, Thomas Sankara, Huey Long, Qaboos bin Said, & France-Albert Rene. It can work.

I am not showing the full arguments as it gets repetitive very quickly.

Even from a glance it is easy to understand that there are two rigid views that cannot be reconciled. The people who do believe everything is political and use the same rationalization coming to that belief to justify said belief, and the other people who see this perspective as a prescription made by people who are "politics"-brained.

The major problem is that the people who believe everything is political is unlikely to shake this view because they have been molded by their own delusion. Left wing or right wing or fried chicken wing, they all have the same problem.

You're missing the point. If America suddenly became China tomorrow, Dev would be living on the street. He wouldn't defend the new status quo out of some principled admiration for status quos, that kind of substantial change would immediately disincentivise his preferred lifestyle.
