I don't know if Dev touches on it, but if you get the "bad" ending in Pathways, the game says that it logs the user in a database of suspicious individuals.
This is aimed at children.
I also haven't watched and don't plan on doing so, so if anyone has can you say if Dev mentions how the game:
1: Doesn't actually let you know what your choices will do, tricking the player (ex: when you are told by Amelia a immigrant brown in your class is getting a opportunity because they are brown and you choose the option to agree with her, your character instead starts screeching out loud about TND and attacking the brown immediately)
2: Doesn't address the content of the statistics or even tries to explain why Amelia and company are bad, instead just saying they are and that you should not listen to them or you will get in trouble (even soviet/chicom/NK propaganda at least tries and give a spin on why the enemy is bad for ideological reasons, here it is literally a appeal to power "they are the enemy because we said so")
- Dev claims all right wingers want yo deport immigrants regardless if they are legal or not. Dev claims this is madness on the rights end, and that they are overreacting over the problem of illegals. Dev thinks only criminals should be deported.
- Dev claims that the right is hypocritical on Asylums since they don't want to pay for it.
- Anyone who comes in under a asylum plea is a legal immigrant. Dev claims the law not being changed makes him right.
Not only is he lying, he also doesn't address a pretty important issue of the fact that immigration advocates and defenders have been moving the goalposts and changing definitions for decades to get away with shit. In Dev's mind if Biden pulled a Spain (where the commies want to just blanket give 5 million people citizenship by executive order) then the right would HAVE to accept all those new immigrants and never complain.
He cannot understand how fucking easy his positions are to abuse, and he doesn't accept that the system is full of flawed and biased people. His worship of the state really comes out on takes like this.
Dev supports the regime change in Iran and Venezuela. But thinks Trump has no plan, so therefore it's actually bad.
Literally "I would like it if it was anyone else doing Bibi's bidding and the Neocon warmongering but Trump"
Dev thinks America coming in so late on WWII is a moral failure.
Shitlibs worship WW2 like it was Genesis and the fucking Big Bang. Literally the start of history for them.
Dev wants feedback on his videos, and feels unsatisfied with his Amelia video. He thinks his top comment accurately describes the failing of it. In that he needlessly attacks the right and not examines the patheticness of using a cartoon character for cope. If Dev recognized this, he might have provided some constructive criticism, rather than come off as a partisan hack. He thinks he needs to be more careful with his criticism, than go aggro on all right wing talking points. He hopes his audience can critique him when he goes too far.
No Dev, you want constructive criticism that strokes your ego and confirms your biases. You don't actually want criticism, you want to get treated like a intelectual and have your ass kissed. You want people to encourage you to keep going, not to confront you. That is pretty clear from how you have behaved.
Dev immediately contradicts himself by saying he did do this in the video.
- Dev claims he's too much of a straight male to not like Stellar Blade.
- Dev claims gamers are becoming too porn brained to enjoy games.
???????????????????
Dev says he hasn't released the trucker video since people are so mean about it. He thinks releasing it wouldn't kill the meme.
He is right. Unless he decided to do some major, MAJOR changes in his politics and opinions a Trucker video wouldn't help. The meme is no longer about the Freedom Convoy at this point, but about Dev's intelectual dishonesty and blatant bad faith when dealing with the right wing to maintain his outdated early 2000s neoliberal politics.
