Digimon

Back on topic, I wonder if that Ghost Game dub is still happening. We got a hint of it ages ago, but no news since then.
I wonder if they are just going to dump it somewhere like on the Microsoft store for an insane price like they did with the Adventure 2020 dub, Speaking of, did they ever move that to a streaming platform for subscribers?

I'm hoping that Discotek releases Digimon Savers on bluray. That was my favorite series. There's no way to watch the Japanese version unless you find the very old torrent with the fansubs or watch it on a site full of viruses and hope you don't get hit. Or of course, buying the old Japanese DVDs and paying a fortune. The dub really did leave a ton to be desired. Especially with one of the worst edits of all time, or the best depending on who you ask. Bombernanimon being turned into a giant orange.

Yoshino's Japanese VA was so bad that I'm considering checking out the dub should I ever do a rewatch. Least she got voiced by Colleen O'Shaughnessey.
Most of the feeling of the anime was erased with the dub. Putting in inappropriate music for certain scenes. Such as Sleipnon vs Dukemon. And there were some pretty lazy edits to remove some stuff that they had to remove such as the crotch kick in episode one. They used a very generic Photoshop sound effect with one of those effect bubbles popping up over the scene. This was Disney working on the dub by the way. It's kind of funny that they wouldn't put enough money into it to do a proper censorship cut. But that's just probably me nitpicking some of the less offending edits. Changing music to change the mood is probably one of the more offending changes.
Thankfully now they are taking the Japanese versions more seriously. But that's just for the subtitle releases, The dubs still take their liberties. Such as Adventure 2020. They did do some tinkering with the new dubs for the movies that are being rereleased. I think someone posted some of the screenshots on here. But I do look forward to that release. It's going to be uncut in terms of the footage. One of my favorite scenes in the first movie is where Greymon is fighting Parrotmon and he uses his horn to rip out the bottom part of his beak. That was removed from the initial dub. It's so brutal to watch but it's awesome.

9anime doesn't have it?

Are there any other scenes that were cut in the dub?
Taichi and Hikari's father coming home drunk after work wanting to hug them good night. Parrotmon's wing being blasted off. The English version showed the missing wing, but they didn't show how it got blown off. Some other stuff that's not really notable was cut out such as some runtime showing more of the surrounding area and the inside of their apartment. Then again, they cut out stuff from all three of those films.

Remembered this AniFem article about female fighter equipment. Weird how the writer cites Digimon only for Angewomon's heels, when Kazemon is literally right there. Among other non-anime examples like Minervamon X, Nene Shademon, Rina, etc.

A neverpicked cunt cherry-picking material to manufacture her fake and gay narrative, color me surprised.
I have the fansubs by Ryuu Rogue and they are good. But still, a bluray set would be nice. To have an affordable physical set Here is the link btw. I just hope the torrent is still strong enough. 7 seeders. https://nyaa.si/view/1179607
Try putting aside cash for two weeks--nothing huge at first but small things like skipping eating out, then that price tag will shrink real quick.

lol money isn't an issue for me when it comes to new sets. If they put out a bluray set and follow the pricing that they put on the Adventure subbed set. I believe the Adventure bluray set is about $70. Worth it for the Japanese version. Having Savers subbed would be amazing. Same with Tamers. But as of now they are still working on the Adventure 02 subbed set. The dub is coming first.

Digicon just happened
>no new game
>no new anime
>webcomic releases soon

Only memorable thing to happen was the Poll

Hyped for Liberator so far. I guess that new Story game got news teased to come soon, if you care about that

Mastemon being the only waifumon to get in the top ten suggests someone was scheming to keep the other waifumons off the poll, the Minervamon waifufag(s) especially.

According to the spergs in /vg/'s /digi/ thread, the Mexican Drashiro told his discord followers to spam Magnamon. He was also responsible for the Minervamon winning the poll and getting an x-antivirus variant
