It's the main thing that made the IP truly pop and they're gonna milk it until it can't bleed anymore, damn it!

For real though, I agree. I dunno to what effect Adventure really did wonders to the IP (Well, about as much as it could compared to it's main mon-competitor Pokemon) but this is getting ridiculous. Adventure had the bullshit that was it's sequel series 02 with forcing a tie-in Wonderswan game promo and that ending it has to 'somehow' adhere to with Tri, Kizuna and Beginning rather than commit to something else in that continuity, and even when they tried to do something new with the cast with a clean sheet in the form of the reboot, it was still lackluster.

Then again, when you have rabid shipper war fanatics constantly at each other's throats and merch around, no wonder Toei tries to stick with that. (:_(

This popped into my feed out of nowhere, but I am pleasantly surprised by its appearance. Far as I can tell, this is the first video from this channel, and gained quite a few subs by the looks of it. It's nice and wholesome for the most part, especially Renamon enjoying the simple pleasures of the drink.

If all goes well, I hope we see more short animations such as these. They harken back to an older YouTube when animations were more common. Plus, it's nice Renamon get some animation of this nature than what you'd usually expect.

Finally sitting down to watch that 02 movie and legit, whosever decision it was to have Armadillomon's voice-actor sound like a squeak toy in the dub deserves to be shot. Holy fucking shit.

I didn't think the Texan accent in the series wasn't that bad either, they should have just kept it. Also Kari's original VA should have just come back and been credited under a pseudonym.

They made the same mistake here that they did in 02 though, not mentioning that Digimon come back after they die.

Apologies for a late as fuck reply to this comment, but MarcFBR has not only banned and blocked people for daring to voice criticism about Digimon Tri. He also banned people for talking about Vic Mignogna. I swear, Withthewill needs to ban that fucker for abusing his mod privileges.

I'm sad that every time I see this thread active it's due to something with this mongoloid.

Still haven't played Hacker's memory. Cyber Sleuth was alright and after leaving it rest for a couple of years I think I'm ready to go at it.

Also, Digimon Survive really tickled my fancy and though it was pretty flawed as well, I'd love another iteration of it. Though I inagine that's a pipedream.

If Toei has to keep doing Adventure movies, I will forgive them once if they just bring back Wizardmon for some further closure with whatever-the-fuck is up with his digital ghost and however it is Gatomon in the Xros Wars manga learned his data was scattered across the Digital World or whatever. Like ffs we have a plausible story here and they won't even touch it.

I actually just started a replay of both after getting the steam collection. HM's is definitely an upgrade even if they reuse alot of assets. I would love for them to continue the series, but I've pretty much given up hope.

It depends on the medium, hilariously enough. Digimon has the better anime (though YMMV on the seasons), but Pokémon typically has the better games and a whoooole bunch of them to boot, and they're also more accessible on top of that.

I also learned from my husband Digimon had a pretty cool logo originally. Very grunge.
