Dramacow Dillin Thomas / DHTDillinThomas - The JEB! of "sonic analysts", whines about Sonic ships, gets in fights with every commentary e-celeb

Updates on Dillin latest drama

He trying to start shit with LSMark now due to he doesn't like his take on Sonic Omens.
He actually thinks people taking money to produce a game for a brand they don't own is not going to make a game company go sue happy

Him arguing with twitter about this

The funniest video out of all of this is this video.

In this video Dillin spergs out over his comments and goes on to say unironically "SEGA will become like steam," and the funniest quote "you have a final fantasy icon what understanding do you have for the law," with no self-awareness what so ever.

But fore real I think Dillin is in the right here even if he says some retard shit every now and then but it's obviously this is something that he cares about and these are live streams after all so him saying something retard was bound to happen.

I agree with the whole statement of "if this is fine then why isn't this" cuz they are the same thing, the whole thing is retarded but it's Sonic so that's a given.

Note: most of the retarded shit comes from the video where he's reading Twitter comments, he gets way too bad about this shit and says alot of dumb shit out of that anger, the whole video is just repeating the same points so it's pretty useless compared to the other ones.

If anything all you would need to know what he thinks about the whole thing all you need to watch is the end of "If Sonic Omens isn't allowed to crowd fund who is" cuz it sums it up pretty well.

It’s amazing how over the past few years that a lot of YouTube commentators just end up doing lulzy shit or end up becoming cows themselves. How is there not a thread dedicated to them yet?
There's already a thread on them. Although, it get much traffic nowadays.

They're making a profit off of a property they do not own. That breaks the rules of copyright law.

The art argument is a false equivalence because, not only is fanart still considered that individual person's art, you're paying the artist directly to make you the fan art you requested. A better comparison would have been someone reselling official merch.

This is just one case of many showing that Dillin has no idea what he's talking about.

Okay so I just have to ask. With how much Dillin likes to sum up the problems of the Sonic fandom as being filled autists, is Dillin Thomas autistic himself? I just find it very funny with how he likes to shit on Autistic people but meanwhile, he portrays autistic traits himself like with the recent thing someone else posted above about the controversy on Sonic Omens. Like what regular person would get that heated over something like that?

As for his "hot takes" on Sonic Tubers, eh. I didn't know he hated LSMark and his reasoning for it, Ididn't really understand but I don't really watch LS MArk myself. I did agree with him on Dumbsville though surprisingly, his content is jut run of the mill and I see younger people growing in this generation enjoying it than those of us who are older so I'll give him that.

Do you think Dillin's Sonic Central stream was an actual fuck up or do you think that it was all a big joke?

I wasn't for the entire stream in only came after Sonic Central was over but going off of the chat it seems like the stream was like that the whole time.

If it was a real fuck up then I like how he just goes on and makes a new Sonic Insanity stream like nothing happened lol.

Btw his Vtuber thing is pretty gay lol.
Dillin did a live stream where he would react to Sonic Central, as I said earlier I came around at the tail end where his girlfriend said that he was sleeping because he had insomnia or some shit.

Then after sometime she said "bye" and the stream abruptly went off, one could presume that it was because Dillin finally arose from his deep slumber.

I think his anger came out of fear of losing something he loves, alot of fan projects are ceremoniously shut down so the prospect of Sega becoming the same way is really scary to him.

Like I'm pretty sure Sonic fan games are fine, it's one of the only things that's keeping Sonic afloat after all lol.

That doesn't make him less autistic for angrily ranting about it for hours but I can see where he's coming from.

Right and I mean, I do get simply disagreeing about something but the way he went about in his edgelord way just really makes him look like a fool. and to me, came off as very mentally impaired. I think it's more about how he presented his frustration (in general) that rubs me the wrong way. He just sounds like a whiny 13 year old.

Another thing I noticed that I find very ironic about him is how he bitches about how he doesn't like most Sonic YouTubers, especially the news channels but yet when you sit and look at his content, he's either doing the same shit (CWCKI readings) or his formatting is of poor quality. Like when he bitches about Chris Chan YouTubers who mostly read off the CWCKI yet he fucking does the same thing and honestly, his readings are some of the worst. I listened to his latest reading and it all came back to me about why I loathed them. He sounds flat, his "commentary" (if you want to call it that) is so shallow and insubstantial, and they're overall just boring. No flair, no personality at all, etc. Honestly though when it comes to the CWCKI readings, I think Rogue Internet Man does it best with his livestreams because his banter with his co-hosts inflects personality into content. And Geno Samuel has his documentary style going for him that stands out but I digress, I'd even prefer listening to Based Shaman over Dillin's crap readings and I'm not even a big Based Shaman person.

And then when it comes to Dillin's usual moaning about the Sonic comics, I can't comment on the quality iof the comics itself since I don't read them but I've notice how he'll always bitch about that Ian Flynn guy's writing but he hardly if ever goes into explaination about WHY the writing is bad and what he would to make it better. It makes me wonder if Dillin's writing is actually good if he writes any stories himself.

And finally, when it comes to his podcast style stuff, something that always stuck out to me is how out of sync he is with his co-hosts (Club spin specifically). Like Lord Danny and Dumbsville have good back and fourth with each other but whenever it involves Dillin, he doesn't really elaborate on his answers towards any of the comments or questions the other two pose, he usually just quickly moves to the next question/comment/topic or he's just vague in his answers while occasionally elaborating.

I just find it fascinating how he thinks his content is so good when it's at most passably mediocre or at the worst, liquid crap. But I know he has a fanbase so maybe I'm missing something. I mean I'll give him some credit, his Sonic OC reviewing while still not great imo, it'ds at least somewhat different and he sometimes gives okay advice but aside from that, his cannel overall is just not as great as he thinks it is.

idk, he probably likes ken penders, and his incredibly out there soap opera-esque stories over the stories that are closer to the games, ken also got his own artcow here so you know how bad he is.

Right okay. Again, never read the comics and have no interest in them, I just find it annoying how Dillin bitches so much about the comics and doesn't actually suggest or give input on what he'd do to make them better. And I've seen Ken Pender's work before thanks to the Sonic Mega Collection, his art style is just too much lol.

The comic started out zany and got more grounded between #25-50. These issues were arguably closest in tune to the SatAM animated series.

Penders got his greasy fingerprints on it, and suddenly you have all these long-lost relatives, love triangles, and a host of cyberpunk echidnas. It was around this time that Princess Sally was drawn more suggestively.

Maybe that's the style of the time. I remember the TMNT comic taking a detour into hard drama.

SatAM was dark but not as "dark" as the stuff Ken Penders if anything early Archie started like AoSTH, slowly drifted into SatAM, and then rocketed into a soap opera

yeah Ken's Style is honestly one of the ugliest depictions of Sonic, close to the original Movie Design and those really off renders from the 90's.

Yeah but they still are making profit off of a property they do not own, the main thing people come for is Sonic shit after all.

Fan art is still a gray area and selling stuff like shirts like how "Sonic: what if " does then that's awesome pretty questionable, it's not all black and white.

Plus with both this and every other game people went up in arms about it's all an optional thing, it's only if you want and if you don't want to give money then you don't have to, it's a free game either way.

Also Dillin's point of how the "Sega will become Nintendo cuz of this!!!!" thing doesn't make sense because Nintendo has been always this way is pretty accurate, now him saying it's "fear-mongering" is abit jumping to conclusions because that might be case for some but they might just be stupid or (just like him) scared of losing something they love.

But acting like fan games could create competition for Sega is just ridiculous especially when said games are free meaning that the creator doesn't get money from a humongous portion of people who play the game.

I'm not white knighting Dillin, he's a retard and I can agree that alot of shit he said was just stupid (like the whole Sega becoming like Valve thing) but I agree with the sentiment as a whole.

You’re not wrong, but I think our boy Dillin is just trying to gatekeep again (very poorly). He always gives off the impression that he knows sonic better than anyone. However the good and ugly parts of a fandom is that anyone can join and make fan creations out of pure admiration. Which something that I think Dillion fails to understand.

It's less a fandom and like a Sonic U.N. where people convene to debate the notion of Sonic. Not the game mechanics but rather his portrayal.
the sonic community has more factions and tribes than any other fan base
i see them as what the factions are in Syria if you know what’s going on
mainly it’s 30 million different factions fighting each other and sega Is the Syrian government under assad
does anyone get where im going with this?

I don't know man, I watch Dillin's stuff from time to time and the most I can say is that he doesn't want SJW types in the Sonic fandom (which is a good stance to have)

But to be fair I don't watch his podcast not ever since Jesse left (the two current co hosts are just yes men) but he might have said some gay shit in there, either way the worst thing I can say about him is that he's not very self-aware.

There is numerous examples of this, from that time where he had a slap fight with Turkey and said that he wasn't a Sonictuber or that time he made fun of Hat loving gamer for milking the same series which speaks for itself.

He's a edgy retard that says stupid shit everynow and then but I personally find him a lot better then alot of other Sonictubers because of his edginess and the fact that he doesn't hop on trends, even if he's pretty bland that's still better then his competition(?). (They hate him so I can't really call them his peers although he is for sure better then Dumbs and Danny lel)

Either way you are right about him acting like a know it all when it comes to Sonic, the dude literally has a series where he explains the lore of an completely inconsistent franchise. Knowing alot about Sonic isn't a thing to be proud of, lol.
