They're planning to make Discord even more shitty and gay than it already is.

TL;DR: Discord has implemented a new integrated system for enforcing their rules, each user will now have a reddit karma-esque account standing score, which can range from "all good!" to "banned". Points will be detracted for each supposed violation, they mention that they intend to use automation (probably some type of "AI") in combination with manual reviews to achieve this. Infractions that can earn you a violation appear to include posting copyrighted content and saying the nigger word. You can also receive a warning for simply being in a server that a tranny janny doesn't like. Receiving too many violations will result in an automatic permaban.

No offense, but I think it's foolish to believe the Discord moderators aren't going to selectively weaponize this to squash wrong-think, and turn a blind eye against the pedo-tranny-groomers that have infested their service. They already stated in their announcement that they'll "weigh the severity and context of each violation and we look at a user’s history of past violations when calculating the user’s account standing," which basically means whatever their tranny-janny team says goes.

There's a youtube video promoting the feature, and the phrase "Alright, let's gamble" is the one that flags the system.
Of course, it's getting ratio'd into oblivion.

Some adult discord servers I'm in are freaking out over this, and rightly so. If you're, say, a furry artist. Suddenly your nsfw art server to promote your work and share with Patrons is looking like it might get banned.

I've seen people suggesting they jump ship to telegram. How is telegram?

My only use for Discord was to use it as a storage locker before dumping all organized content onto the farms anyway and to farm early Sinseer content, Assuming this new system scans and flags all images even in single private servers and in locked channels too. Aside from that Discord has been shitty and avoidable for years with the most cringy drama to seep out of there out of all platforms but the early years were fun though.

I'm sure it'll go after everything except adults that are trying to groom children and encourage them to troon out. Discord should really just die at this point and hopefully with this change that'll be well on its way. One can only fucking hope.

Just get Matrix, Matrix is the less inept, less gay, open source version of discord. Everyone on discord is a fucking coomer anyway and will jump ship if they start banning porn, they'll do themselves in like tumblr if they go that route.

It's what discord troons wanted and it's what they deserve. Can't say I see the issue with AI tranny jannies banning real tranny jannies over dumb language infractions only an AI would pick up on.

I don't know if you can really call Matrix less gay than Discord, but it is still better.
