What's with Winnie the Pooh but with an edgy twist or Christopher Robin but middle aged? Why can't Winnie the Pooh just unironically be Winnie the Pooh?
We live in soulless and cynical times where adult children who have never been able to let go of their youth and/or unable to achieve adult accomplishments turn back to childhood media for comfort, but are unable to let it simply lay as such - so they "age it up" to degenerate bullshit they enjoy in order to not dwell on the fact it's a thing meant for actual kids.

Sad, but here we are. It's no wonder I like reading Bill Griffith's Zippy.

If this is all we're going to get from these IPs being put in public domain, maybe Disney having a chokehold on them isn't so bad.
yeah, as much as I understand that infinite copyright sucks, but there's very few examples of how it's worked out for the best when something went PD

Re-watched Lilo & Stitch after about half a decade or so. There really is something special and timeless about this film. You can just feel the raw passion and energy that went into the film. Kind of wish there was a director's cut version showing how the scene with Jumba and Stitch fighting was supposed to take place, but other than that, I adore this film.

I'd recommend watching the various behind the scenes compilations when you have the time.

Just makes no sense to me why'd they try and remake this film. (Other than insert woke politics I suppose)

Lazy cheap cash grab + Disney consoomers gonna consoom.

Maybe it's just me, but that castle seems like a white-washed (literally-with paint) version of the castle town from Tangled. View attachment 5099335

More Greek influences to me than Moorish...
My first thought was Mont-Saint-Michel.

Has no one mentioned how the live action Peter Pan looks like a bad stage play that was done by a public school that casted a random mexican boy and a black girl?
You would be hard pressed to find anyone who actually watched that dumpster fire since everyone knew it was going to be a dumpster fire the minute it got a trailer.

It's also a way to stick it at Xi Jinping, given the temper tantrums that he has for people comparing him to Winnie.
