Now we can have Dave Filoni take over and make Star Wars all Ahsoka, all the time. And wolves, so many wolves. His wife is also a wiccan so expect more Fagolyte-level shit.

Even though I rated your post "horrifying," I'm really not that horrified anymore.

Fuck Star Wars, for all I care at this point. I haven't identified as a Star Wars fan in over 5 years, lol. My will to care is gone.

Here, here. I want more Fagolytes and not just a trilogy but a full nine episode movie series about Rey Palpatine all directed by that Paki cunt that makes documentaries about goat fuckers cutting off their daughter's clit because Mohammod told them too. I want to see Lucasfilm burn and fail completely.

This is just my observation, but I don’t know a person under 30 who still cares about Star Wars. And the few who do are nostalgic for the prequels.

The hold Hayden has on the millennial psyche... it's fascinating.

Filoni is such a fucking retard.
Imagine taking a character like Ahsoka who was hated in the beginning and then over multiple seasons made her a beloved character, but then deciding she has to be the biggest fucking OC Mary Sue possible and making her hated way more than she initially was.
Her story should have ended when Vader killed her and introducing time travel just to bring her back was something only the most hack fan fiction writers would do.

I stopped caring when they told me the Force was germs in your body. Lucas is a heeb hack.
It isn't, but Lucas botched his explanation. What really ruined Lucas' version for me was The Clone Wars where the Force is actually revealed to be a trinitarian god (Father, Son, Daughter) and the Son was the dark side, the Daughter was the light side. Meanwhile you have authors like Drew Karpyshyn who did great work at trying to expand or explain the force, but he was relegated to books.

I'm just glad the decanonized Legends so all the retarded shit stays in its own continuity doesn't taint it. Even the stupidest shit from Dark Empire has far more passion than Disney slop.

I don’t have a stake in this, I’ve probably read, what, three of the Legends comics? But even I can see a tubby parody of Admiral Thrawn, not the real deal.

You know, I’m actually glad I never read the novels. At least now, I don’t have a frame of reference to compare Kylo to Jacen. I'm guessing it wouldn’t be pretty.

Harry Potter 100% hijacked the pop culture away from Star Wars. We can all debate about whether Harry Potter is "good" or not, but I don't think that anybody can deny the stranglehold it has on the pop culture.

Harry Potter is the "new" Star Wars. It is still very popular and relevant among the younger generations. It's the only highly popular intellectual property nowadays that still has appeal to all ages/multiple generations. Star Wars is for "old people" these days, and the MCU is only for weirdo and cringey millennials now ... Disney has nothing on Harry Potter, and they have nobody to blame but themselves for killing these golden geese.

The Virgin George Lucas and Disney vs. The Chad J.K. Rowling

do the kids still like Harry Potter? i would have thought the franchise would have died out with the movies finishing. i've never bothered looking them up but are they still big?
The books still sell, the merchandise sells like crazy, the really well-done Universal theme parks have helped keep the property alive and relevant, the video games (Hogwarts Legacy specifically) have been really popular, etc.

Also, based on what I have seen with my own eyes, I still very much see kids dressed up as Hogwarts students on Halloween all of the time.

Yep can confirm. Mom and I went to a screening of the first movie (Sorcerer's/Philosopher's Stone) with a full orchestra playing the score. Almost a packed house, with a significant portion of the audience being families/children (some of them wearing the robes).

I just think about the original six, the rest are dead.

The only interesting concept for me at the moment is that AI may advance far enough that someone posts an alternative TLJ that isn't shit.

It's an autism magnet. Until it starts openly rewriting lore so the first wizard is a black, disabled female, and white children are made to kneel and apologize at every class for their colonial wizardry, it will likely remain popular for a long time.
