It isn't, but Lucas botched his explanation. What really ruined Lucas' version for me was The Clone Wars where the Force is actually revealed to be a trinitarian god (Father, Son, Daughter) and the Son was the dark side, the Daughter was the light side. Meanwhile you have authors like Drew Karpyshyn who did great work at trying to expand or explain the force, but he was relegated to books.
I don't trust what heebs tell me, JEDI-diah (Solomon), was the creator and worshipper of idols to Molech and Chemoshe on the hill that is before Jerusalem. Big shock for Hollywoodites.

It's telling in the promotions they really like to just hint at the original songs with snippets and little bits of the tunes. Which to me suggests their new versions aren't good. Some of the longer stuff I have seen around makes them seem quite souless. Like whistling that doesn't even sound like a human made the noises.

I came across this interview with Rachel Zegler. It's a few months old now, but it doesn't seem to have been posted in this thread or anywhere else.
As for that line about “skin as white as snow,” Zegler reveals that the new film has its own origin story for her name. “It fell back to another version of ‘Snow White’ that was told in history, where she survived a snowstorm that occurred when she was a baby,” she says. “And so the king and queen decided to name her Snow White to remind her of her resilience. One of the core points in our film for any young woman or young person is remembering how strong you actually are.”
There's no way they didn't add that plot point after they received backlash for their casting of Snow White.

I know how to do that. Admittedly I'm fairly lazy but if I really wanted I could get my hands on it.

I was mostly wondering why this show hadn't turned up on my usual site. It's usually pretty good, same or next day uploads but this time it's radio silence. Not only that I haven't even gotten YouTube recommendations on reviews or anything like that. Considering there was a fair bit of drama before the show there seemingly being nothing is kinda wierd and I wanted to know if that was just me or if others were in the same boat.

Also if the show happens to be good or even great. There are unexpected gems in wierd places even if I have very little faith on the modern Disney.

Has anyone here seen the the pixar series Win or Lose? I just realized it's like half out and I haven't heard anyone talking about it anywhere. Even my normal pirating cartoons site doesn't have the episodes so is it like super boring or what?
Twitter obviously lost interest in it when the troon character was taken out at the last-minute.

Since I haven't heard anyone else talking about Win or lose I decided to watch it. Being bedridden by a stomach virus should used for something and this is the best I can come up.

First of all it's classified as a comedy and it's not really. You can see it trying to be funny but humor is mostly bland and kinda parse. Usually one note characters being awkward and mildly inappropriate. Occasionally it works, like the really gay janitor got a chuckle out of me, but I didn't feel like it added much, let alone being the driving forse. This clearly mainly a character study and everything else is secondary.

So what does this character study look like? Characters overthinking and artsy expressions of emotions. So far I'm not exactly impressed. It's not bad but it's just not good either. Boring and slow. Some times the artsy stuff adds to the story telling but large portion it feels unnecessary.

Episodes 1 and 2 were... The best I can describe is for anxious adults. Not awful but so much awkwardness and being super lost in your mind and ego. I know that's was the point but it wasn't much fun to watch. Also these episodes supposed to establish or at least set up the other characters that will be taking the center stage in later episodes and that didn't really happen. We saw them but that was about it. There just wasn't enough hints of possible future plot points or mysterious circumstances for me be interested to see the what other characters were up to.

Episode 3 is actually pretty good. I liked the girl and I understood her struggles easily. Her need to make money as well as her tense relationship with her mother was told clearly and naturally. It didn't feel like an angst fest and the story flowed well into her making various questionable choices with logical consequences. There was even a cool chase seane that used the artsy emotion expression in a fun way. Honestly this should have been the opening episode. So much better stackes, more characters involved with her plot and an open end so you have places to go.

Episode 4 also fine. It's actually builds on the previous episodes and the mom is quite funny. Her choices make sense and while they might not the best ones she does try her best to put her kids first and be a good mom. Her trying to handle her daughter cheating has a nice flow. From mom trusting her daughter's word, to figuring out she lied to seeing it's a bigger and badder deal than she suspected. Although it's annoying that at the bad kids' party the teens are clearly supposed to be drunk but the show goes so out it's way deny this fact. Yeah sure the blond girl is puking from lactose intolerance and the lactose is also probably the reason why is like super out on the floor too? Also I really didn't need to kids to emotionally validate the adult and her parenting skills. But those aside it was fine.

So to sum up, it's not that good or intrestingly bad. Just mostly meh. Oh and the animation, much better than I expected, the previews really didn't show it at it's best, but not worth it just for it.

I've been meaning to post this in this thread, but I saw A Goofy Movie in full recently. Dated as all hell? Yes. Better than it has any right to be? Also yes. One of the most down-to-earth and realistic portrayals of a father-adolescent son relationship not just in terms of Disney, but in animation in general. Also I2I is one of the few fake pop songs that could legit make a killing as an actual pop song. 7.5/10, would crash a Powerline concert again
t's on my list as one of my "perfect movies."

I wouldn't even call it dated considering that the themes are still as relevant as ever and the technology is just window dressing,

Even though I rated your post "horrifying," I'm really not that horrified anymore.

Fuck Star Wars, for all I care at this point. I haven't identified as a Star Wars fan in over 5 years, lol. My will to care is gone.
It's been that way for decades for me.

Or that it's fat-shaming. Which it is. And that's a good thing.
How I saw it. Those people were nearly screwed by their fancy technology making then invalids.
