What do you think of the trolls and their changeling switcheroo act with Kristoff? To me, it glorifies child abuction and abandonment.

Yeah, fuck the trolls. They were the worst part of the movie, bar none, and their background of abducting children and the like while the movie tries to make them all cutesy and fun is so tone-deaf and is one of the many reasons I have issues with the movie.

Is it me, or does the writer of this film come off as having battered child syndrome, but in complete denial of it?

I wouldn't be shocked if Jennifer Lee does.

After reading the posts here and on other sites that criticize Frozen, I am glad I am not the only one who thinks Anna and Elsa's parents, as well as the trolls, should have been the villains instead of Hans.

I mean, Anna and Elsa parents emotionally, and psychologically abused their daughters, and yet, they are made out to be the good guys? WTF Disney?

Also, with the trolls, they pulled a changeling act on humans, kidnapping Kristoff, erasing his memory, and dumping off a biological troll child, who most likely got killed by human hands. WTF?

If I remember correctly, the whole goblin/troll changeling switcharoo were done by malicious, EVIL, tricksters, not noble, heroic entities.

Also, with how I think Anna and Elsa parents are unintionally unsympathic and made better villains, I am going to leave this meme to tell us their true intentions with Elsa. Let this sink in.

I always recall the HISHE on the film as it summed up the issues with the Trolls and parents perfectly.

The trolls are super vague as shit and the parents are completely insane in how they interpreted the trolls vague advice.

Dammit, I only predicted a live action version of this movie as a joke

So no James Woods and no Rip Torn (RIP). Now will my other predictions for this "more modern spin" come true: Tess Thompson as a more feminist Megara (and the cartoon version was quite empowered) and Chris Hemsworth as his recent Thor portrayals but it's Hercules.

If they have to hire a Marvel Chris, their best bet would have been Chris "Captain America" Evans.

But he's got Buzz Lightyear now, and Pratt is apparently Mario, so I guess they've got to share.

Which, I don't even fucking know why she got her panties in such a twist when Zootopia was announced. Aside from the surface-level similarities (a young woman traveling to a big city filled with talking animals with the goal of helping others), Zoophobia and Zootopia couldn't be any more dissimilar if they tried. And besides that, she DOES know that Disney plans out their movies years in advance, right? Highly unlikely that Disney was browsing the interwebs one day, saw her (not even hugely-popular) webcomic, and thought "Oh shit, that's actually a really great idea, we'll just yoink it for our next movie!"

I have money on by the end of the Chapek's run, the US parks will barley be able to measure up to six flags and cedar fair. Hell it might not be able to since the later two A: has rides that aren't shit (when was the last decent attraction in either land) or have hour long lines for the good ones, and B: doesn't cost an arm and a leg to get in.

It would be some bitter sweet irony if Disneyworld ends up like the rest of highway 192.
Cheep, sketchy, and mostly dilapidated with the only things that stubbornly stay in business being tacky gift shops.

I think the worst part about going on this trip is that I cannot find much new to be excited about. I try to look up the new attractions, but most cool ones are in Land or are rumors that have not happened. One rumor that really got me was the replacement for Stitch's Great Escape. Apparently, Wreck-It-Ralph was supposed to take over, which was a franchise that honestly should have become part of tomorrow land half a decade ago. It seems the rumor completely died though, which sucks. At this point, the re-opening of Toy Story Mania is the coolest thing the parks got as that ride was amazing our first trip but gone on subsequent trips.

Also, the fact that Tangled gets a bathroom instead of a ride is infuriating. Princess and The Frog will soon have a ride, but not Tangled?

Well CA has had problems since almost they very beginning and has been mismanaged for years (I defended Eisner a bit but god damn he was retarded in making California Adventure a thing). Plus I don't think either six flags or cedar fair are trying to push the boundaries in terms of rides or theming, let alone trying to be major vacation destinations.
Then again I might be a bit biased since only went to one of the six flags parks many years ago and can't remember much (think it was one of the ones in TX) and the cedar fair park I used to go to was one of their smallest in terms of attendance, so nothing was ever really added aside from the bare minimum.
