No big loss. It's actually kind of a dull movie. The only good parts are those with Uncle Remus and the animated animals. The only reason the movie is banned is because Uncle Remus talks like a "shuck and jive" stereotype, and that's pretty much the way all lower class people - black and white - talked in the South at that time.

Also people thought it took place during slave times when it actually takes place during Reconstruction, which wasn't made clear enough in the movie.

They can't sell ESPN because they use it to gouge cable/sat providers by bundling it with the other Disney stations.

Also selling ESPN would effectively end their relationship with the NFL since the NFL. Does. Not. Like. Disney. To the point that MNF on ESPN only happened because the NFL tried to cut Disney out of the football game and Disney had to pay quadruple the normal asking price for the package just to keep the NFL on ESPN; and even then, the NFL fucked Disney/ESPN over for about four-five years, only giving them loser teams on MNF on ESPN.

I know I'm late commenting this but holy shit Disney should just give up doing content for Disney+ and just stream their board reunions, the amount of drama, twists, betrayal and infighting is more than enough for 5 seasons plus a movie. It's also a pretty clear picture of all the vermin that control the company: braindead executives, diversity managers, activists, even someone with direct connections with Trump! What has any of these fuckers anything to do with animation or movies or ride engineering? In the words of the late Norm Macdonald:

It's almost scary how much control Iger has within the company to the point that the whole deal feels more like a cult than an executive branch with how he made everyone forget that he was the one that put Chapek in charge in the first place, even more the fact that despite being CEO again he has barely fixed anything and things are instead getting worse.

In the folklore, it's used as a noun as "A situation, challenge, or problem from which it is difficult to remove oneself, especially without making it worse." In the story, Brer Rabbit attacks the Tar Baby because he was hot-headed and didn't use his brain to think about the situation he was in and kept making it worse when he was fighting it. He only did finally use his brain when he told Brer Fox to throw him in the Brier patch to escape Brer Fox.

It only became a derogatory term when progressives started making a big deal out of it.

Progressives didn't initially notice the term "tarbaby" until Gamergate happened. Since gamers of both video and tabletop had been using term "tarbaby" as a noun and verb for years. Nevermind the nongamers who since SotS had been created were using tarbaby in roughly the exact same matter of the original.

It really comes across as Disney trying so hard to appear woke and progressive to appeal to leftists, yet this movie will fall flat since it's another live action remake that is preaching social commentary from one of the most evil corporations out there.

Only thing that it has going for it is that it won't reach the bottom that is occupied by the remakes of Lion King, Pinocchio, and Mulan.

The ironic part about this is that the person that typed this article for the web has the Ukraine flag emoji on their site. I’m willing to bet that this blogger would never join the front lines of any geo internationalist war for the sake of wanting to be “progressive” with female Stormtrooper wear.
