Apparently, Asha's not going to go on whatever adventure she goes on alone, but instead with a big posse of her friends. Because Disney is completely and utterly creatively bankrupt, the friend group is one giant rip-off of the Seven Dwarfs from Snow White- personalities, quirks, color schemes, and all.

They're even ripping off the marketing of the Dwarfs, with the bootlegs in the puzzle below being in the same order that the Dwarfs walked in Snow White.

Wait the movie is 3d but the puzzle is 2d? Even this diverse piece of Mouse shit looks better in 2d.

They fucked up the puzzle image if the short one is meant to be the "Grumpy" character.

Stupid idiots making shit to be consumed by stupid idiots. I hate the "Everything has to look like downtown LA" diversity casting. These people are Diversity junkies, thinking cramming dark people into everything will solve all of societies' problems:

"This is not history as it was, it's history as it SHOULD have been! Xhe who controls the past controls the present! Xhe who controls the present controls the future!"

I hope y'all are showing your children old media, and not letting them get indoctrinated with this Cultural Marxist slop.

More clown world news- the black chick in the blue is being played by a nonbinary actress, has the androgynous name of "Hal", and is pointedly the only female character that we've seen not wearing a skirt. If Disney puts a fucking troon character in their 100th anniversary movie, I'm going to laugh so hard they'll be able to see my sides with the Hubble telescope. It's like they're allergic to normal people money.

So, with all this talk about the main antagonist acutally being more believable than the protagonist, you think we're gonna see the John Walker effect in action again?

I don't know how much I agree with the spider man one, the protagonist didn't really have time to even swallow the ridiculous choice the film forces him to make, plus this trope always existed in some measure as villains are less bound by the rules and allowed to emote, like Scar, Hades and Snape. However, it is true that modern films will try to play up pragmatic villains with actual solutions as villains who are only looking for themselves, while revealing that the heroes who usually work by what works best for them actually had the solution satisfying everyone (Frozen is an immediate example).

This is going to flop hard.

It looks like it's Disney trying too hard to win back the crowd while offering the exact same shit that made the crowd fly away, but choke full of glitter.

Also, what's with the crazy ass settings? They used to set their movies in Real Life countries and locations, but now they're pretty much creating their own, elseworld, Europe. Arandelle was somewhat plausible but this one looks wacky.

It's quite informative though from the post Miguel or Ken don't really fit since the movies they were in don't necessarily portray them as cartoonishly evil, at worst mildly as jerks but not enough to be monsters.

But Disney definitely has done this many times with their movies especially their animated films like Breaks the Internet and many more.

Yeah there's only really like some minor lesson for the kid like "hey maybe your family cared about you rather than just being assholes" while the family/parent learns the error of their arrogance for not understanding the wisdom of the child.

I just have this thought tickling the back of my mind that the Disney writers behind wish are going to invoke the "You'll own nothing and you'll be happy" meme. Like oh only a child would think you really need to have all these things you wanted, but after she becomes wiser she realizes all these people should be happy with less.

To be fair that message has been pushed for decades, long before YON&BH was cooked up. It's how the Elites keep the poor in their place by telling them to be grateful for what they have and not bother that the Elite and their hatchetmen in the middle class can have anything they want when they want. To the point of spawning such tropes like the "poor little rich kid" to make the poor feel sorry for the rich.....

🙄

Come on! That's normal children's literature. Children solve crimes, children defeat the bad guys , children are smarter while most adults (including the parents) around them are dumbed down.

We have an explanation for why it looks like this.

You are a bunch of fucking liars. You are just too damn lazy to want to put in the effort that has been done over and OVER again by the masters. Lee has practically all but admitted she's never watched something like The Thief and the Cobbler where EVERYTHING was hand-drawn.

EDIT: Also I guess this is confirmation that Deep Canvas has been put out to pasture by Disney after Treasure Planet.

Go fuck yourself, you hack cunt. Why are you still in this business when you have no love for the medium? Are you just that much of a good lay?
They're not going to make a 2d movie because they can't easily make changes to the plot according to the reaction of focus groups or hell, even the reaction of the internet to leaks like they can a 3d movie. Disney's too creatively bankrupt to not need that as an option.

Children doing stuff like solving crimes and defeating bad guys? Sure, pretty normal for older children's stories.

What's a bit weird with modern Disney is they try avoiding kids doing stuff like defeating the bad guy. There's a bit of a Steven Universe vibe of wanting everyone to just get along rather than have someone just be bad. Ends up making their stories feel pretty uneventful now since the writers are trying to avoid having a real conflict that needs to be resolved and instead opting for the "it was all a big misunderstanding" thing.

What is it with defanging the villains anyway?

Like, when Ursula's lines about men liking women that don't talk are cut, it's because girls might get the wrong idea.

You know, like Ariel did in the original movie.

Because Ursula is a villain and villains lie.

I mean, it gets all kinds of insidious even down to where in Pinocchio on Pleasure Island, one kid runs up and yells, "So much ROOT BEER!"

Fucking root beer? Kids get turned into donkeys because drinking root beer is so terrible?

Of course, I don't expect Disney to understand things like characterization and how stories work. That stuff is for the dregs of society. You know, the ones without a soapbox and a bullhorn.

Yes, a disabled Asian is on this journey with you. Disney really loves to put their disabled folks in their setting like this.

The villain isn't allowed to be villainous, that's problematic.

God help us if we get live action Frollo, he should be the perfect villain for progressive Current Year Disney as he's everything they claim to hate but because of that they'll completely defang him or otherwise fuck his character.

A modern Hunchback movie wouldn't work at all for woke Disney so they would have to write woke fanfiction like they do with the new Snow White and the 7 diverse crackheads. They would make an entirely different movie with new, woke approved characters. Live action Frollo would be too racist, ableist & sexist and that would trigger the leftists retards they make the movies for. So he would be completely changed as well.
