Edit: I think part of it is Pixar thinking, "Hey we should appeal to a wider audience to actually make more money since we've been in a recession for so long and no one's actually going to theaters anymore." Another is that they're starting to realize these people have the same background and mentality; not everyone is a leftist from a city.

too little, too late. Should've been that way from the start.

A grave they chose. Ironic. Darth Igor the Greedy, in his attempt to maximise his chances in politics, led a doomed cultural revolution that crippled both his business and his political ampitions. His unwillingness to retire and get an apprentice led to his faction being headless should he stop leading it and his willingness to start fights with local warlords led to the breaking of alliances. Now, his grand empire rots as larger opponents pounce on its weakpoints.

That should've always been the case from the start. Unless you actually lived a very interesting, entertaining, and inspirational life, nobody cares about your personal issues. Go do stand-up for that.

Also have kids so you know exactly how to appeal to them.

The Jewish side of the Force is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be "UNNATURAL".

Did you guys know that by getting a Disney+ account, you legally give Disney the right to kill you and get away with it?

Sadly "mass appeal" is just a disguised code for more sodomy squad agendas and turd world wank fests. Semitic Disney has been given their marching orders til death, it is blatant to anybody looking. O'keefe outed what we all knew already for years.

I would argue that a lot of Disney's woes happened because of the combination of Michael Eisner and Jeffrey kastenburg ironically enough.

Katzenberg was basically a slave master that worked animators to the bone and almost caused now renowned films to tank because he wanted to omit some of their most iconic parts ( he tried to remove songs from the original Little mermaid which pissed off Howard Ashman).

Eisner on the other hand made a bunch of pointless investments that eventually cause the company to fall into hard times what's really strong when the animated film stop being as successful as they initially were post Lion King.

Bob iger was sort of seen as a savior years ago because he minted the poor relationship between Disney and pixar, I bought them, and then went on to purchase other things like marvel and Star wars but we now see how his reign has turned out in the long run

The problem with Disney is that it's hard to pinpoint where they exactly was wrong because they do good for a minute but then drop the ball hard
Im curious which Eisner investments. In the parks at least Eisners era defined the "disney difference" that Iger has now actively destroyed. Even with the hotels. Like Polynesian during Eisner vs now was light and day

There is a marked difference in checking out something built in the Eisner era when looking at attention to detail and quality vs Iger era.

Seems to me Iger strip mined Eisners investments to keep buying IPs and eventually ran out of IPs to buy.

We got the start of Kingdom Hearts from Eisner's era, so he will always be the best CEO next to Walt in my eyes, get fucked Igor.

The last time the parks were actually good was when Eisner was in charge. He opened the last gate. He may be the last one to open a gate.

The parks under Eisner were so beloved and popular they could birth a movie franchise like Pirates of the Caribean (created by eisner era staff) meanwhile Iger is throwing IPs that are growing old and disliked into the parks. Destroying their timelessness. That motherfucker would shut down Its a Small World if he could.

Apparently the Marvel vs Capcom stuff is getting a collection release. Which while more connected to gaming would suggest Disney is after money again since I cannot see them letting Capcom bring those out without a reasonable amount of cash changing hands.

I still can't forgive Disney for ruining Marvel vs Capcom with Infinite.

This’ll be coming out about a week and a half after Toy Story 5, it’s gonna be interesting to see how they stack up. TS4 made a billion dollarydoos but it seems like the general consensus is that it was unnecessary at best, franchise-ruining at worst…
I think what it comes down to for both movies is if they're good.

I think Shrek 5 being good would actually be able to net it 1 Billion dollars given how ingrained in meme culture Shrek is for multiple generations. If it's also a good movie, it would get people to see, though I'm concerned with the director's last movies being the Trolls movies, the story idea from Illumination's CEO, and the screenplay being written by someone whose notable credits include the Austin Powers sequels and both Boss Baby movies.

Toy Story 5 on the other hand is really unnecessary and I don't see it doing well unless miraculously it has something to appeal to people. Toy Story 4 I heard was just okay, but not a masterpiece like 3 and there was still a lot of good will after 3.
