But why does Jason Momoa look like a child predator in this?
I was half joking that he was there as a reference to Minecraft Youtubers and how frequently they get outed for "talking" to minors.

The character is meant to be a guy who peaked in the 80s or early 90s and is stuck in the past with arrested development or something. I don't really know. I will never see the film.
This makes more sense, but I find my answer funnier, so I'm sticking with it.

Why does Lin Manuel-Miranda write so many Disney songs nowadays? I've been listening to Hamilton again recently, and all the problems with nu-Disney songs are there as well. The lyrics are weirdly-placed and stilted, which I guess works well for rap, but not for Disney princess songs, which are supposed to be smooth and flowing. Who thought it was a good idea to hire the man who thinks "Enter me (he says in parentheses)" are good lyrics for anything outside satire?

Lack of imagination? Who else could you think of that is actually writing songs of musicals? Tim Minchin?

Music industry went to shit. Beyonce is "Queen B" but could she actually write a song? No. It all got dominated by people with out talent. Lame autotuned black shit. Sia stepped out as being one of the people behind the curtain for the fakeness, but I don't know what then happened to her.

Now people are all excited for actual musicians. Linkin Park is back, it's huge! NIN is doing Tron. The When We Were Young Festival is on nostalgia for when there were actually people who could write and perform songs. Blink 182 is now high art in music. I'm a fan, but come on.

She made that movie about the non-verbal autist that pissed everyone off and was the source of so many memes on 4chan a few years back. She also had a questionable relationship with a teenage girl.

I finally got around to checking the work print version of the Minecraft movie I downloaded and while it's definitely not the final thing I think I can see why Zegler had a mental breakdown after it beat La Snow White in theaters. Any child over the age of 12 will probably find it cringe, and most over 9. Don't watch it sober.

And it beat Snow White. Ouch.

The Minecraft movie is cringe, but it didn't feel like anyone working on it hated the source material like so many of these Disney remakes do.
Jack Black showing off his village to the rest of the main characters felt almost exactly like that time he and pewdiepie played in each other's minecraft worlds.

They didn't hate the source material, but they definitely hated the audience and had active contempt for them.
Probably a bit of both.

I cite Joker 2 as the ultimate example of what Hollyjew does whenever they see something Whites have fealty for. The original Joker not only pulled Warner bros. out of a fire (and the kikes will still shit on the goy who supported it despite that fact), but it also, for a brief moment, got people to think about mental illness in a small way. Regardless of these things, the fact that White people liked it meant that the Weinstein-tier Semites couldn't let it stand. So they bring in a vacuous cunt, buttfuck the story, and buttfuck the actual Joker character, literally. Basically like a little big-nosed toddler smashing other kids' toys in a playpen because they got enjoyment out of them.

You don't hate Hollyjew or the (((Western Media Machine))) enough. You really don't.

The answer is because Hamilton was the biggest musical of the last decade that managed to not only bust open Broadway but entered the public Zeitgeist in a way that no one had really expected.

It's single-handedly started Hollywood's current obsession with revitalizing the Hollywood musical and directly led to the creation of the wicked musical..

Within the Disney canon, he not only sold from Hamilton but produce their biggest modern-day soundtracks with the first Moana and Encanto, so in a very real way he's been keeping the Disney musical of float.

@Screamer_2 it's more so Miranda is kind of the face of modern theater, so when people say they need to make things more theatrical he's kind of the go-to guy.

I think the big dichotomy of somebody who keeps up with Broadway as opposed to someone who just watches the occasional animated musical is that the Broadway that you know from the Disney Renaissance was already being phased out on the stage by the time those films debuted

Rent single-handedly caused a bunch of composers to move past the more operatic / classical sound of Broadway and into this new contemporary sound that we see and things like spring awakening, in the heights, and wicked were the things that solidified how it sounded.

That's why regardless of who they get to write music for them it's going to have that "Poppy" sound because that's just been Broadway for the past three decades and Disney's only now catching up to it.

Let us keep it simple: Lin Manuel Miranda is talented, successful and Latino.

So I stumbled across this article because a week ago it was the 30th anniversary of the Goofy Movie.

Words like "black coded" and "queer coded" need to fucking die. Screenshot 2025-04-13 200148.webp

Max Goof dresses in a hoodie and jeans like a "gang member" = he's black. Roxanne (who is a high school aged girl in this movie) is a black woman because she has curves. Who the fuck wrote this article?

But Goofy was actually in Max's life and cared about him. That's like the exact opposite of what a black father does with his kids.

Never mind the fact teenagers for decades have commonly worn hoodies and baggy jeans.

This woman has clearly never seen a teenager since she graduated high school hundreds of years ago.

I remember watching those Goofy movies as a kid and not once did it cross my mind that those movies are for niggers. Typical from a race bred to always have this victim-mentality who're desperate to identify a body of work as their own. Next thing we know, niggers claim to create the alphabet and numbers.

To be fair, art Babbit directly based Goofy and his persona on blacks.

He was meant to be a jolly yet kind of coonish individual which is why he sounds and acts the way he does
