"You get a live action!"
"You get a live action!"
"EVERYBODY GETS A LIVE ACTION!!!"

I fucking hate this company and industry.
Ditto.

Not everyone. How bad do you have to be for Disney to say "nope, we're not doing this."
Well thank goodness (heard the Robin Hood project is off the table too). Some things don't need to be improved, but I'm sure they'll remake Frozen with a less Nordic-looking cast.

I just watched Tron: Ares and it made me sad. It wasn't awful once the plot kicked in, but I was stunned by how uninspired and boring the action was, especially the chases. They reminded me of the car chase in Spectre where it makes you want to take a nap, and I can't put my finger on what's wrong with them. Both chases were at high speed yet felt like they were moving at slow speed, like I was doped up or something but I'm straight as an arrow living on Sunny D.

No eye candy btw, which is standard now I guess. They pull a Last Jedi and start the movie with two Asian sisters but immediately kill the hot one off and make the frumpy one the lead; there's also an angry bald black woman. 5/10 because it's pretty, but the music is generic ass and I'm starting to wonder if Nine Inch Nails were always trash or if you are all gay for liking them. Maybe Tron 4 can have Tiffany and New Kids on the Block do the score since normies love it when musicians 30 years past their prime work on random Disney movies.

It sounds reminiscent of this chase scene:

HOT MERGING ACTION!

Main concern would be some of the thugs getting gender swapped to female to add boring female friends for Rapunzel even tho her being the only girl is a contrast thats pretty important to the scene (youre supposed to think all these scary men are gonna hurt the sweet little girl but then they end up having a jolly ol time to disprove mommy gothels fear mongering during mother knows best)
My main concern is the entire kingdom looking like some mystery meat, melting pot. Well its barely even a concern more like a guarantee. Some guards or citizens will be black or jeets.

Randomly came across this video on Instagram.

They are 100% doing the “Come see our quirky blorbo” marketing tactic that they did for Elemental. Speaking of, did anyone here watch that? I was put off by the ugly ass character designs and it appearing to be yet another anti racism story that gets more holes the longer you think about it.
hopper was pretty good. it scared some kids toward the end. nice little movie with some adult jokes.

e: the scary bit triggered a memory of superman 3 where that broad gets turned into a robot. if you take kids, be prepared

for some of you histrionic faggots the soundtrack has a bikini kill song in it.

Wild Magic Kingdom - Stitch Get That Volcano Project! - Disney TVA Pilots

>no Pokemon ripoff experiments in sight
>actually using both Lilo and Stitch in equal measure
>getting creative with the fact that Stitch is an alien
>"nawwww people don't actually want this shit. let's shit all over it with a live-action remake instead!"

I fucking hate this company and industry.

Hoppers was great, easily lives up to the hype. Most I've enjoyed a Pixar film since Coco back in 2017.
This movie was a blast. The character designs are stylized but a lot more visually pleasing than Pixar's other recent films and it was shockingly even-handed in its environmental messaging. Also the third act is completely fucking unhinged in the best possible way. You can tell that every single actor (especially Jon Hamm and Dave Franco) had the absolute time of their lives recording for this film.

so Pixar actually made a good original movie that people genuinely seem to enjoy? Oh boy! I can't wait for Pixar to run it into the ground with endless sequels!

but seriously though, might have to plunder it from the high seas and give it a watch once it drops onto streaming

the new head of pixar promised movies not therapy and he delivered. it even managed to tug on my heart strings (the first dehop in the van). time will tell if its a toy story 1 or if the majority of new flicks were so trash it stands out even more.

Hoppers is the new model to subvert kids with post modern amorality.

>Pond rules = "take advantage of others when it benefits you"
>Mabel is the way she is due to an emotionally distant mother
>self-destructive behavior is construed as a positive

Just let me check something real quick.....
Daniel Chong is a Chinese-American animator

Pattern recognition wins out yet again.

Pete Docter's been head for a while, since 2018. With how long these movies normally take at least one of the recent disasters happened with his approval, probably more. Points to him for being willing to call out the issue, though.

He's one of the original Pixar team members, director of Monsters Inc and Up. Someone from the old guard being willing to say that this shit is just therapy and no one wants to watch that says a lot, because people argue that things haven't changed and they always took inspiration from their own lives for films. But before it used to be just that, inspiration. Not a direct analogy where this character is literally me and this character is my mean old mom who didn't understand I was right. Andrew Stanton, director of Finding Nemo, cited his feelings as a parent as part of the inspiration for that film and it's not a therapy session because it takes those feelings, keeps them at the heart of the movie, but puts them in a fantastic setting with characters that are not Andrew Stanton with fins.
