To be more clear I am not turkish but my family in iran spoke azeri as a secondary language. My cousin on the iranian azeri side from tabriz took a dna test and we have literally less than 2 percent turkish/steppe ancestry but his dads side was from the country of azerbaijan so its likely he had even more turkish ancestry than me since I am only 1 half iranian azeri. Most azeris in iran only really speak the turkish language but we dont really have asian features. Khamenei the leader of iran and enemy is israel is an iranian azeri for example but he doesnt look to have any asian blood
