some call them school shooter pills some say its placebo others say they are simply over prescribed and some say it permanently effects your brain. Do you trust SSRIs?

Well yeah, no shit. People are depressed because their lives are depressing. We live lives starkly different from the lives we evolved to live. The issue is that for many people behavioral, environmental and social changes aren't viable. Some of us are smart and lucky enough to be able to recognize the need for behavioral interventions and put them into practice, and plan for a life that allows for that, but most people aren't, and the average blue collar dad doesn't even have time to hit the gym. Modern life is so ratfucked by Taylorism and Calvinism that unless you've got daddy money or fell backwards into a white collar job, the world effectively demands that you resort to pharmacological intervention, or some other form of substance dependency -- even if that's "just" caffeine, nicotine and alcohol or cannabis. Wake up, consume your stimulant, do your work, consume your depressant, and if you're smart and lucky and work hard and have support and resilience factors you'll only have to live that way for a decade; otherwise, you do it forever, and if you're lucky enough to live to retirement you'll've traded enough of your health for money that you'll be able to pay for treatment for your declining health. It's utterly soul sucking, why wouldn't people be depressed?I think for like 95% of people (I might be biased because this was the case for me) environmental, lifestyle, and social factors are the root cause of most cases.
Yeah I feel like brain chemistry is a real tricky thing to balance, once some kid I knew had me try one of his happy pills and I honestly could not tell the difference it made. Maybe just stop being a bitch and you'll feel better.I took prozac for year back in high school, it didn't do shit. It was a total fucking waste of time and money.
SNRI withdrawals are the stuff of nightmares. You need to taper off them very slowly over a period of months, or else you’re dealing with brain scramble, body zaps, and physical illness. Missing a single dose can totally fuck you up. Horrible drugs.(Nobody ever talks about SNRIs, they’re better imho)
And how many sessions will that script change cost dr solidguldberg?Yes. The amount of uneducated sperging about them here amazes me. The only issue with them is that doses and type may need some tweaking.
