For me, it was a decade of almost getting married, to realizing age was not the one, to return to partying and waste a decade of my life.
It was fun.
It was fun.

Maybe it is to you, but I think nostalgia is only a poison when taken to excess.Nostalgia is a poison so I try not to be too fond of any one point in time.
They are punishing the population for electing Trump and not voting for Hillary like they told us to. They told us Trump was an evil fascist racist orange Hitler and we didn't listen. Matter of fact they are still punishing the population for electing Trump. That's one of the reasons why the prices for everything are so high and that includes gas. The fact that you can't watch anything or play a game without niggers faggots trannies or strong wahmens shoved in your face is also part of that punishment. It was bad pre-Trump but post Trump it's gotten 100x worse not that I blame Trump. We should be able to vote for who he want without this level of cultural punishment. The first half of the 2010s were a solid continuation of the 2000s in someways like the Internet was still kind of a Wild West, people still had decent senses of humor, IRL hangouts existed and dating was had much less baggage surrounding it. It was about 2014 that shit started going bad with Gamergate and a bunch of retarded drama (although you van say Benghazi and the Tea Party were warning shots of this, albeit much more serious in nature than gay Internet drama), but by 2016, things took a turn for the worse due to the election that year and we've been in hell ever since.
Some dude wanted to stop an Congolese warlord from using child soldiers in a decades long civil war. Caught on at first until the guy had a mental breakdown and was caught jerking off completely named in public while ranting about something. Haven't heard shit about it since.
I can understand where you are coming from but I kinda disagree. I think every facet of life has gotten noticiably worse post-COVID to the point that the 2020s are culturally distinct from the 2010s. People were initially optimistic during the 2010s' beginning and while it did taper off , it didn't quite hit the lows that COVID dealt the world and the biggest transfer of money to corporations and the lockdowns really just killed any sort of hope people had for the future in 2019.
I was kind of hoping the GOP primaries would playout like the 2016 primaries, but Trump never got a chance to Bully Desantis like he did Jeb!. I do believe we will get to see a melt down like what happened in 2016 when Trump wins in November.I’m crossing my fingers we get another He Will Not Divide us next election
The 2010s were also when the endless "culture wars" of Current Year started.cultural
Like that "3D" (simulated depth perception) craze?i miss the technology and culture of the early to mid 2010s
I lived in a not-so-great apartment in the city in the 2010s, and the bus system wasn't that great either. I don't exactly miss that.personally speaking i dont miss it because my life was a wreck back then and i heavily relied on escapism to ignore reality constantly
the 'you will own nothing' craze comes to mind, event hough only copros are excited about that, i also am not really excited about ai because censorship advocates smothered it in its infancyLike that "3D" (simulated depth perception) craze?
I don't think there's any tech crazes anymore -- like "multimedia" ('90s) or "3D" (early '10s) -- aside from that current "AI" craze.
That's an attempted "social engineering" trend rather than a tech craze?the 'you will own nothing' craze comes to mind
The current "societal downer period" seems to be endless though. It seems society goes through phases of being happy and depressed.
