Does Chris hate baths?

What does he expect a "house husband" to do? IF, by some extreme miracle, he does end up in a position to be a house husband, he'd better be able to marry someone rich enough to afford a maid.

Which means he's doomed to live in a pig sty forever.

Chris seems to still shave daily. He seems to be really good about that. I've never seen him reach the heavy stubble stage you get when you go two or three days without shaving (not counting the goatee). Is it a sensory thing? One of the few good things Bob may have bothered to ensure Chris puts into his routine?

He's sort of aware that he'd be expected to do work around the house, but he must realize that he wouldn't actually do any of it by now. When he says "I want to be the house husband," what he really means is "I want to sit on my ass playing vidya while the wife is at work making my money for me."

Very likely. If Chris is like most people with autism, and nothing I've read contradicts that, then anything that becomes part of his routine will be something he abso-tootly-ootly has to do.

Chris didn't have a problem with bathing in the Game Place days. In the Lucas and Mimms interview, they said they couldn't notice any funk off of him.

Which is to say, he didn't smell any worse than any other nerd that showed up for Pokeman card night.

I was about to say he may not have gone through puberty at that age, given it's Pokemon - but then I remembered he was probably nearing 20...
I was trying to find the log where he mentioned he would bathe more often now if the bathroom was cleaner, but had no luck. It was probably one of the Kacey calls, or something I made up in my mind.

I also loved baths as a kid! If I wasn't pretending to be a mermaid I was imagining myself as an undercover agent (my brilliant disguise being a shampoo mohawk) trapped in the enemy stronghold (the tub), with nothing but my wits and a stolen machete (conditioner bottle) to help me escape. My mom had to order me to get OUT of the shower and quit using up the hot water. xD

That bathtub is disgusting, but the most annoying thing is how easy it would be to fix it! Bleach that bitch down, scrub it, rinse and then go over it with a cleaner. It wouldn't take more than half a day at most. There's no reason Chris couldn't have a perfectly decent shower to bathe...other than the fact that he won't put in any effort.

Of course, knowing Chris, he'd decide to mix up his own solution of bleach and ammonia.

I didn't know those two didn't mix until I saw that ep of King of the Hill.

keep in mind that the rest of the nerds at pokemon card night were about 9 years old.

i don't think Chris hates bathing; he just hates cleaning, and his bathroom's gotten progressively messier over the years, making showering less and less possible.

lucas and mimms also probably weren't exactly sniffing him too hard, which might be part of why he didn't smell as ripe then

It could have been him being lazy more than hating it. Maybe Borb never stressed the importance of hygiene?

Correct me if I am wrong, but wasn't it Barb who taught Chris to shave?

He could go to the YMCA, but then some dang homosexual or man in a pickle suit will surely get up to no good.

Or a stereotypical brute male would shout him out for using the women's shower, because there's no going back for him. Hell, he wouldn't even mind if a woman decided to use the male shower!

Merry Christmas, @Hellblazer.

It's just what I wanted!
