DOOM

A decent amount.

(Stolen from this thread on /v/. [archive] More salt can be found there.)
Just like with Devolver and their trailer for the re-release of Metal Wolf Chaos with its "Mech America Great Again", you got people who can't take a joke because it somehow offended them. The whole mortally challenged bit may just really be nothing more than a jab at corporations trying to use nicer sounding words for their own benefit as @Commander X said. This comedian's bit over being offended may as well apply to these people.

No one "Harassed" you, you shameless piece of filthy forehead. God I fucking hate this Troon.

A bunch of people did point out that you're a hypersensitive piece of shit, which, given you've tried to get people banned for using the word trap and were responsible for the FE: Fates controversy, they're right to make fun of.
By calling a person out, one can bet they'll cry harassment.

Isn't the joke that megacorporations utilize "socially aware" language and policies only because they believe it will benefit them or as damage control for events they caused. Now the actual joke, flying far above the heads of these humorless killjoys and anime furry tranny scolds is that the UAC is now doing PR for a demon invasion THEY are responsible for.
You know, that actually flew over MY head. I thought it was just a dumb joke to continue the UAC's balls in cult mentality started mostly by Helena. What you just said makes way more sense in context though. Isn't that crazy though? Went over my head but still made me laugh. Doing a good job, devs.

Wouldn't be surprising if it went in either direction but as mentioned before, these people will have it fly over their heads. Also more Ritsu on Doom Eternal.

Who even thinks the demons are a reference to immigrants and the disabled besides people like Ritsu?

Whos helena? You meant olivia?

Shit, yeah, I meant Olivia. Helena...I think Helena Pierce is a Borderlands character? Must've mixed names up in my head while typing.
Both are scientist of some kind from an FPS game. Regardless, a bit more Doom Eternal sperging.

Some dude with a horse avatar thinks the game is gonna make an allegory of demons being like immigrants and social minorities instead of overconsumption and greedy corporations (he could have a point with DOOM being an allegory but then again, I haven't seen any products UAC tried to shill and the argent energy sounds like something more powerful than nuclear energy as a power source. Then again, Id is likely just trying to tread new ground in the basic story of demons appear, you kill them). while another thinks Bethesda is "appealing to GamerGate dude bros".

"Fuck Bethesda" Clawshrimpy says in light of Doom Eternal and some Tweet that was deleted. Because obviously Bethesda must be courting GamerGate and the alt-right. It's not like Shrimpy and all the other complainers are looking too hard over a joke.
Fuck Bethesda beacuse of that Doom joke.png

At this point, one may as well tally up how many get offended over Doom Eternal while waiting for the game.

Im sure there has to be a mental medical condition for people that try to find a political comentary in every single piece of media they are subjected to

It might be called :autism: in the eyes of some. Real talk, the whole "political commentary" and the like stuff is kinda bringing memories of how some of these people sperged over Escapist not wanting to have any politics on their forums. Such a thing got complaints because it would sound like "pro-GG" message or something like that.

Doom has always been a simple concept: kill demons and fuck shit up. There is no deeper meaning, that was never the point. The game epitomizes John Carmack's philosophy of story in a video game being like story in a porno. It's only there to contextualize why you're murdering demons on Mars, but even the game knows you don't care about that. The 2016 game even seems like a satire of this, providing a pretty intricate lore and story only to have it be completely ignored by Doomguy who only wants to kill hellspawn.

People like Clawshrimpy trying to add a deeper meaning to a series that's almost always been flagrantly anti-story is hilarious to me since it demonstrates a fundamental lack of understanding of the games. Even Doom 3, the most story-intensive game in the series, is still a simple sci-fi horror story at the end of the day. I can't wait for Eternal to come out and be totally devoid of deeper political meaning like literally every game before it and yet people will still try to make it about immigration or Trump or some stupid shit like that.

These miserable cunts don't even believe in a heaven or hell so what does it matter what a demon is called to them? It just has to, they'll never get a kick out of life.

This game kicks ass already.

The people getting angry over the "mortally-challenged" quote all unintentionally compared immigrants to demons. If that ain't some iodized salt, I don't know what is. I want this game now.

Stumbled across this from KnowYourMeme. Tumblr notices the salt from Twitter over Doom Eternal.

While we all shit on Tumblr being a haven of SJW's, even Tumblr can take a joke over Doom Eternal. Moreover, one Tumblr user also notes what the "mortally challenged" bit is taking a piss at.
