The community project hatewatch contunues, because the retardation of the Troomworld develpoment forum never sleeps. Just two weeks after my first update on the subject, we have half a dozen new projects of sheer autism:
- Habitatania! - A community project of purposefully "terrible" maps - The goal of this one is to create intentionally bad maps, all inspired by the worst, most broken map in TNT Evilution, "Habitat". Only the textures from this map are allowed and the aim is to create a full megawad of shit. Even if the goal was to make good maps inspired by Habitat, the thematical repetitiveness alone will still make for a very boring megawad. The good news is, this shit will never reach 32 maps, it'll be miracle if it gets 10.
- ALIZARIN ~ Avant-Garde Monochromatic Community Project - Fuck me, the words "Avant-Garde" had me worried even before i opened the screenshots, because in the language of Troonworld, terms like "abstract, artistic and avant-garde", can only mean some autistic, seizure-inducing barf! Well, i wasn't wrong, check this screenshot to get a better idea:
This will legit hurt your eyes if you play it for more than 2 minutes, but you just can't shake the feels that it's going be a forerunner for a cacoward nomination... if it ever gets made that is (seems unlikely).
- impping! - the imp rocketing community project - How about a CP where the goal is to make slaughter maps with nothing but imps in them? Actually, the rules allow for other monsters, but the lead states the minimum amount of Imps must be 99%. Seriously - 99%. All weapons are allowed but the focus must be on the rocket launcher. I get it, it's fun to rocket low level enemies, but just imps for 20-30 maps in a row? Even in a single map the concept will get boring and repetitve if it drags on for more than 5 minutes. I'm surprised that it has more than half of the slots taken. Looks like there are a lot of mappers, who want to get a break from trying to be creative, and are down for making maps, where they can just spam the same monster over and over. It might be fun for the mappers, but not for the players.

- Doom 2 In Rural Only - Here we go again... the "In Shit Only" gimmick/theme is here to stay. I'll give this one the benefit of a doubt, and won't shit on it too hard. I haven't bothered to check the resource pack, but if they deliver unique new textures and details on the level of the DBPs, to trully imerse you in the theme, it might actually end up being interesting. But as of right now, i can't help but imagine a Redneck Rampage knock-off with Doom gameplay. If they aim for realism, most of the levels will probably end up being flat boring corn fields and barns.
- Stabtastic - A Kaizo Platforming Community Project - Thank god no one is signing up for this one, because it's a fucking abomination. A platforming CP where all your weapons are taken away and you are given a chargeable long jump. Again, platforming as a part of the regular gameplay, as a part of a normal map, can be a great thing. A full megawad of nothing but platforming maps, where you don't shoot at things, and you're going through a repetitve, trial and error, parkour course, is a retarded idea. There are great platforming video games out there, why would i want Doom to be turned into one, when it's never going to be as good or as fun? Enough with the "Doom is a canvas/sandbox" nonsense! It is not! Doom is an FPS and there lies its strength. Stop trying to turn it into something that it was never meant to be, by stripping away what makes it great in the first place.
Here's an honorable mention that i missed to talk about last time. This one actually got released, but it never should have been. Get ready for some more of the good old retarded "creative restriction":
- 1 Sector Community Project [RC1] - Just WHY? I don't know which one is more pathetic - this one, or the 10 Lines Genocide? I think both are equally useless. The relese thread was posted 20 days ago, and so far it has a handful of comments, most likely from the same people who made the maps, and of course, no one is talking about the gameplay... because no one is playing this piece of shit, and rightfully so. Why are these people insisting of wasting their time making useless craps like this? When are they going to learn?
