Doomworld - AKA Troonworld, a dedicated safe space for pedophiles and megalomaniacs - Corrupting the Doom community since 2016

I don't participate this thread, but I read some small section of it. I've been aware, for years, how toxic and insufferable some trannies are and whatever is happening with doomworld just reinforces my suspicions. It's a new level of mental illness, they are ready to waste years of their life manipulating online communities for their own attention whoring purposes. They breathe air only so that not a single sane person can have fun anymore. And some of them do this so incredibly insidiously, only revealing small glimpses of their true intentions at random occasions and even this they only do to remind everyone else of their sad existence. It's like they must continuously project their mental illness upon others. After the dust has settled and everyone else has left, these "people" are the ones who keep posting like nothing happened, smugly smiling while thinking that they "won".

I can't imagine setting up a CP without coordinating with at least like, two or three other people before going public. Do people really just go on DW and put on a CP ? Especially one that seems to have a deadline of uh... this weekend ?

This guy in particular has an ongoing series of shitty speed mapping projects, called Pineapple Under the Sea, or PUSS. The acronym is utterly retarded, as expected from these idiots. It's like intentionally chosing a cringe name, to look "new wave". Technically the acronym should be PUS, since there's no second S in the full name, and pus fits these maps perfectly, because they are exactly that - pus-filled trash.

It's like if the DBPs had a very distant, hyperactive, brain-damaged cousin. Similarly, they use custom-made texture and new themes for each installment, but this is pretty much where my DBP comparison ends, because being that they're all speedmap projects, it is better to just stay away. They are coordinated on Discord, as far as i'm aware, on that same Pineaple moron's channel.

There you go, i rest my case:

Actually I was referring to RAMP, but the creator didn't make a thread yet (creator is a furfag according to AutisticWriter, although I hadn't heard anything other than him doing an inversion of the normal DOOM "Doomguy with pet rabbit" thing (rabbit with a pet doomguy, he chose a Scottish Lop in particular coz it's colorblind as is he). I inquired about his role within the whole troonworld system a while ago.

I've always considered David N to be one of the better furries, maybe even the only good furry in the community. He doesn't come across as a weirdo, and he is a family man, has a daughter and all. Good for him. Also the RAMPs are not gay, at least in a sense that they don't force such themes on the mappers. I think the only guideline DavidN enforces is the texture pack, usually CC4 or OTEX, which everyone uses or have used at some point. The other restriction is the development schedule, but other than that, it's open-ended. He has other "flexible" guidlines, like "make short maps", that get diregarded as there are plenty gigantic abominations in these projects.

Overall, RAMP is a shitty project, but not for queer reasons. It's also bad to be a part of a RAMP. I submited a very basic map for RAMP 2023, though at the time i had little to no experience in mapping, i haven't yet fully realized how shit my submission is. The project ended up drawing 290 maps, the next year's one drew over 300 maps... it's a fucking mess. You submit a map that basically gets drowned in a sea of garbage. It also doesn't matter if your map is towads the first slots (mine was) or the last, because the damn thing uses a gigantic hub system where the map entrances seem to be randomly scattered around. I thought i was being clever to have a map ready at the start of the project, grabbing an early slot (23), but no, doesn't matter at all, because almost no one playes these maps in order.
This is why now, looking back at it, i'm glad i submited something that i would've othewise deleted by now. I did revamp the map later and had it released as part of my unfinished UDMF episode, which also sucks ass from start to finish.

I do want to correct a few things-RAMP 2021-23 didn't have random map placement, heck 2023 had a system where you can type a map number (like 023 for yours) and go straight there-what was random was where each map's tile in the metagame would appear. 2024 was the only truly random one, but almost NO-ONE liked that, not even in his discord where he did a poll (segregated into visual themes like 2023, each map with it's own fixed entrypoint like 2021-23 and people enjoying the metagame won out). You could use custom textures, models etc as long as they didn't overwrite the base (which some people struggled with-I still remember the quacking cyberdemon incident from 2023 LMAO). Personally I enjoy the RAMP projects, some of the maps have cool myhouse-esque features (which was how I found him initially-he did a series explaining how it worked).

EDIT: was yours the far outpost? I just played it, not bad-quite enjoyed it :)

Yeah, first map i ever made... though, the version that ended up on RAMP2023, was also an update. The first, original, version was much worse, but that one no longer exists. Also the fucking RAMP base, screwed up the sky... The outside area has the vanilla Doom 2 episode 1 sky if i recall correctly, but it shold've had a dark-blue night sky. I tried my best to salvage my early maps, doing many updates, but i'm never going to be satisfied with them. I used a lot of bad tropes that i started to hate and criticize other mappers of, and the way i map now is way different from back then. At the time i even made an "artsy" abomination, called UAC HQ - brutalist architecture, water, references to A Clockwork Orange, and music by Vangelis. It's easily the most visually striking map i've ever made, but unfortunatelly it's the worst piece of shit when it comes to gameplay. Oversized, too open, too flat, poorly paced, slaughtery, with monster roaming around freely, projectiles travelling huge distances, too much circle strafing, too easy to exploit infighting, and even the exploration is shit, with player being allowed to visit every area of the map before the monsters show up... Looking back at it, i don't know what i was thinking... i must've been smoking something:

It might be slightly different if you have reputation / there were previous ones. Dump 3 famously had like 70 damn maps, but dump 1 and 2 already built a reputation to where it was expected.

Terminusest13 who worked on it was also well regarded in the community at the time so I think people who liked him supported it because of that.

I've seen a few Doom videos from TimeOfDeath and some of those old Doom maps from the mid-90's seem worth playing for a couple of minutes. I've been avoiding user-submitted mid-90's maps for a long time like the plague but since I've no interest in playing the latest Troonslop at this point, might as well check at some old maps.

A bit unrelated, but I remember seeing a map for Sven Co-op (yes, really) which was set in a GameSpy lanhouse. It was broken, so you couldn't progress, but the nostalgia was there.

But damn, it is great. Maybe revisiting old maps may be a good source of entertainment, like from those diskettes or CDs eventually. The Casali brothers were mentioned here, a few pages ago.
Not a bad idea.
I still have leftovers from when my own MM3 was in the works; There's a whole resource WAD. tailored for the theme. I doubt it'll be sufficient as of now, but I can share it, with maps as well. To add on the topic of Doomworld spergs - I suspect they rationalize a WAD. having an older project's name if it was permitted by the original creator. Which is why there are 7+ Plutonias now, since Dario Casali gave his blessings (IIRC they didn't ask Milo, for whatever reason);
This would make sense, if it wasn't situational - another project which is a spin-off of TNT was released in 2017, TNT Revilution. I have scowered through old and new development threads, and saw no mention of them asking TNT Team members. Only thing close to some kind of official recognition is them having the TNTT OG composer in their team later down the line. As proof I'll use the Doomwiki article and 2009 thread, since those are the most cohesive IMHO: http://doomworld.com/vb/thread/47721 ; https://doomwiki.org/wiki/TNT:_Revilution
It all comes down to their inner serpentarium of transgenders only giving priority to each other over regular users, the "BuT YoU'rE sTeAlIng thE Wad'S lEgAcY" argument is just a cover to justify it to the lobotomites who browse DW and agree with their leadership.

Been playing a few maps from an author named Michael Reed after watching TimeOfDeath's run of "Hotel Hell" from the same author. Maps aren't that bad despite the era.

.... and here we have another dumbass who deleted all his stuff ... because he doesn't map anymore ... or his mom died? None of this makes any fucking sense.

that situation reminds me of some tranny faggot from /vr/ who did the same thing. he initially deleted all his stuff over some drama, then asked to have his map removed from a project or whatever, and a few days later magically got his ego boosted and came back making maps and posting again... I think it was lunchlunch or some shit. it's just one of those ribbiks wannabe mappers i don't give a shit about.

Lunchlunch probably hates my guts by now, but i think he's a cool dude, and a talented mapper. I doubt the guy you're talking about is him.

Edit: Well, it took a while for the idiotic CPs start popping up again. At least this is not about gayliens, but come on... First the D!ZONE CP, now this.

Someone need to tell this guy that it's impsossible to make 1995 shovelware disc, because first - it's not 1995, it's 2025, and second - you're not actully puting the end result on a disc, you're making an intentionally shitty wad set that will end up uncompiled on a crappy zip file, as an excuse for being a dogshit mapper that lacks creativity.

This guy also led a project with maps consisting of only 99 linedefs, so it seems like useless project are his thing
