LMAO, Graf didn't have any valid reason to chimpout over it and embarrass himself. Yes, it could've gotten a lower place in the cacowards but the thing here is Graf should ditch his egotism and realize that not all people there are out to get him. If they really intended to piss off Graf with that then he's still the one to blame here.

Part of me thinks that Graf just hated the mod because of egotistical reasons, the user who created lilith.pk3 disagreed with the Graf and Rachel's dislike of it and pointed out that he wasn't welcome there because of GZDoom's angry creator.

The reason they don't like lilith.pk3 is because they fear that people may start to make mods that only run exclusively in a certain old versions of source ports, and when you try running it into a different version otherwise you would not be able to play it and there will be some sort of script to nag you into playing it how it's intended to be played with. Also worth noting that only devs of the sourceports had qualms with lilith and modders and normal users had no problems with it.

I don't really get them sperging over that one, because if modders did that sort of thing with no valid reasons, patches and sperging comments come in to play. And if those Zandronum drama queens can release a version of someone else's mods and addons without permission and keeps getting away with it, they can do it as well to fix that problem at the cost of their pure prissy pissy morality.

Graf has not posted for a while now since his chimpout last month, and I think this would slow down GZDoom's releases if not thoroughly kill it. There are still devbuilds being made if you look.

It's a mixed blessing anyway, they keep adding useless features like recoil which gets used unnecessary from time to time, bloom and other modern stuff that they'd find on the new FPS games that they hate. GZDoom got a bit buggy and from the looks of it, became a resource hog during the middle of last year ever since and i'd rather have them fix bugs instead and maybe try to make their sourceport more smooth and resource-friendly.
 
As a fan of old Doom, I discovered Doomworld Archives too late and grabbed literally everything of great quality up to that point up to maybe...a year ago. But I never paid the community attention. I never knew they could get this assblasted.

(((GZStats))) will be added to new versions of QZDoom/GZDoom. The process is meant to collect some anonymous data about players and send them to the GZDoom HQ. The data will be used strictly to enhance your experience goy.

On the start screen random text from Kiwi Farms would be displayed under the title. Instead of demons you'd have lolcows, and they'd spout off their various catchprases like in Duke Nukem. Your weapon loadout would consist of a banhammer, flame(war)thrower, threadbomber, etc. Throw in a bonus feature where you can scan enemies to "archive" them. As for locations, you could have lolcow locations recreated like Christine's house, Ali Rapp's fart-hovel, Terry A Davis' parents house/car/neighborhood, Dan Cilley's old apartment building in Skid Row.

1. Vulkan support: It's a nice graphics API, but can be pricey, and stock DirectX support for Doom ports has always been a bit touch and go, while OpenGL has worked for the longest time on a more consistent basis.

If it can be done, great, but I'd shove it towards the bottom of the priority list.

2. OpenGL 4.x support: Again, if it doesn't bring anything substantial to the table, why bother?

3. Software renderer removal: Wut? Not only is it basically there as a fallback in case every else goes to hell, it's the go to default for the retro fans who want as vanilla a Doom experience as possible. Chopping this out is removing a net under a high wire act with a performer you known is prone to stage fright.

4. WinXP support removal: Again, wut? Granted, I see the logic, it is kinda old, but that is the whole point to source ports, keeping an ancient game alive for damned near anything that will run it.

5. That last item is just fucking arrogance incarnate. Shitting on people who don't want to play on shiniest toys simply because you're an elitist jackass sounds like a great way to piss people off.

Christoph Oelckers (Graf Zahl's powerword) has always been an arrogant douchebag. It would be no surprise that he would do shit like this and try to make it work. It will go as well as expected.

The top answer doesn't make sense. Pushing everything to the limits, what for? Most people are content with GZDoom's current look, and if you are looking for something with good graphics, better play something else other than fucking Doom.

Call me insufferable, but who needs the most latest graphical effects when playing Doom? There's bloom already and even that seems out of place on Doom. These features are they're adding are just fillers, and only serves to make GZDoom bloated and slower than before.

The mod doesn't exist at all, no public beta builds aside from some screenshots of small map areas and some guns that were reposted for millionth time ever for couple of years now. The dude w/ broken english is an attention whore lolcalf and he's denying he's one.

He keeps posting previews of his works in progress but 100% of them aren't finished.

Playing a Terry Davis fan campaign where you face off against glow in the dark CIA niggers would be amazing. Now if only you could incorporate vehicles to run them over with...

You can have them as weapon pickups, once equipped they add a car interior overlay with steering wheel and everything else necessary, firing the weapon both pushes you where you look and damages enemies in front of you.
