i am so happy i got this trophy because now i feel no anxiety calling victories anymore

last game i predicted with 11 and a person immediately disconnected and it made me laugh out loud

The Gold bounty for the trees is needed, I think its 8g atm. Its only consistent since most , if not all units give gold now. Can't think of a unit that doesn't give a reward for killing it.
For Furion specifically:
Early game for most heroes it's not worth the resources (health, mana and time) to kill the trees. Most supports don't trade favorable into those little fuckers. Later on it's not that important and doesn't really matter.
Furions shard is AIDS, I hate the guy.

Oh yeah, the zombies don't give gold or xp, true but the WK Skellis give gold the second time they die.

Some autism from a Slark player:

Dealing with Slark is really just a matter of understanding how the hero works. He's entirely reliant on either A). having high stacks of Essence Shift up (in which case you should avoid him until they expire), or B). having items that make up for his abysmal stat growth, which incidentally is the worst in the game, with 1.7 agility per level (as an agility hero).

If you let B happen, you done fucked up already.

That said, he's a terrible laner and he's a terrible hero until he gets some farm, so just have your team constantly gank him to force him to buy items he doesn't want (like early bkb). Also learn his fucking dark pact timing. Wait until he uses it, THEN throw your stuns or whatever at him (allowing a little time for the lingering effect to go away, as it continually dispels... just mess around with him in Demo mode to figure out how it works). Don't engage him while he has Dance or Shroud up, learn their timings, kite around them (or use area stuns on him when he's in them).

He has to duck in and out of fights to get ES stacks, so just fight him as a team if you can and lock his ass down. You can prevent him from escaping by standing near him when he tries to leap (so it latches to you instead).

If he goes Shadow Blade, place Sentries everywhere, since Dust isn't great due to his ability to purge it off at will.

It's also really important to place your wards in weird, unexpected places against a Slark as he can obviously tell when you have vision over him. Placing them in the usual spots will just get your shit dewarded.

Here if anyone is curious how I play, this was a difficult game. I was Dazzle. 6713307891

normals / turbo, mostly turbo with my friend who occasionally plays still. he always remarks i take these huge breaks but then come back in and outperform the random pubs we get matched with every time.

I used to play a lot of League of Legends too, and generally the cycle goes like this:

1. Start playing again.
2. Remember how to play correctly and start doing very well.
3. Hidden unranked MMR recalibrates and matches start getting very competitive
4. Think "I should just play ranked and use my mic!"
5. Play ranked
6. Games are the exact same fucking thing but now I'm emotionally invested instead of spamming ic laugh emote
7a. Play just enough ranked to place high silver / low gold
7b. Quit halfway through placements because my placement games were ruined by people intentionally throwing.
8. Quit because I'm unsatisfied of my rank.

Honestly unless you play at a level far and away beyond whatever bracket you are stuck in, it is extremely hard to rise beyond the rut you are in simply due to a number of things, but in the low brackets I find the biggest killer is blackpilled retards who throw or quit the moment they experience any adversity whatsoever. This remains a factor even if your behavior score is spotless. Try finding a good core or carry that you excel with and continue to improve your ability to play that hero. Then do the same for about 2-3 more heroes so if any get banned you should always have a fallback for ranked.

I suck at tank though. I've tried a few. Primal Beast is the most fun but he feels so fucking pathetic and weak. Bristleback is a thousand times easier than Primal but I wouldn't say I'm good with him.

I don't know how to describe my playing with Hoodwinked. My W/L with her is abysmal (38%) but I think that's because I historically play her with my friend who's in China so we end up playing in India with 180 ping each. With a low ping, I feel like I play her well.

edit: also, my farm sucks. No matter what I am playing my last hits are never above the dota+ metrics.

Honestly try getting spell lifesteal on Bristleback such as eternal shroud, not only will it give you mana when active (I use it often as a mana battery for pudge because I can simply rot to generate 400 mana) but it will give you admirable lifesteal.
If you are steamrolling pick up radiance and your aghanims shard. Clever use of the spitball paired with the shroud lifesteal can heal you for obscene amounts and if they are already having trouble dealing with you, it will destroy them.
The idea with bristle radiance and shroud is you want to get stuck in as possible and distract them from the rest of your team. you are getting radiance healing from 5 sources or more plus quills and the spitball which you save for when they have massive stacks of quill. Don't always staticbuild though, if you are against sven or Phantom Assasin you should grab a crimson guard and probably blademail. Typically you would get these anyway after radiance but you want them fast for high damage right-clickers.

As for hoodwinked you want to stack damage and attack modifiers after you pick up the gleipnir. I typically run gleipnir and then straight into desolator crystalis. Remember your acorn shot generates a tree if you don't direct-target it on an enemy unit so you can drop it next to the enemy team and immediately huck your bola while the acorn is mid flight.
If you develop a good eye for hitting great acorn shots, you can also try playing Lich as his ult works much the same.

Dazzle is dazzle, shallow grave to keep your out-of-position sniper alive while he casually mows down half the team. Or build extremely greedy and get desolator+mael+aghs shard.
Generally speaking you always want aghs shard on dazzle. Hexing multiple enemy team members every few seconds is very good for everyone on your team and you can use it to interrupt channeled spells and items like enigma's black hole.

You picked three good heroes, however only Bristle can really carry entire games on his back. And only if nobody builds silver edge to break his damage reduction. If you are playing Bristle offlane and you are up against squishy heroes like Luna, Pugna, Zeus, Techies etc you can easily put one point in snot and chase them to death before they ever reach the tower. Do this every single time they extend beyond the tower.
A good hoodwinked can turn every teamfight into hell but can also be countered by simply building BKB.

I can't play DotA anymore. I feel I have no control and 1 player can ruin an entire team.

I quit cause it doesn't feel fun, being trapped in 1h games with retards who throw or don't know the basics

I played Dota 2 in the early-mid 2010s with some friends from high school. We graduated a year or 2 prior so we weren't in careers or had families yet, just college, entry jobs, and girlfriends. Definitely have fond memories. I can't get back into Dota because I don't want to play without them.

I used to listen/watch TI, RTZ, and other a few other Dota streamers while doing homework late at night. It was a comfy constant after being at college in the morning and working afternoons/evenings.

I was always support. Dunno how it is these days but back then in pubs nobody played position 4 so you'd be lucky if someone else bought wards.

I fucking hated it at times, shit was thankless, you hardly do anything cool because you're broke so you can't buy the cool items, and our typical carry would occasionally be smug. Once I got better with support I realized how fun it can be and the expectations became part of the fun; what you can do with so little supplies. It broke my single-player mindset.

Play turbo and meme every game. Never use chat and report mute retards. Once you feel very competent at three guys like I've got, play some normals. My matches today from dawn to dusk were uncharacteristically great. My last match was that dazzle one with a real comeback

When I was younger i was a genuine rager and I'd fucking yell at people. At some point I made an active effort to be cool and now I'm one of the most chill players I see that actually interacts

Support is where it's at now. Between the ability tree update, Agh updates, shard updates, and free jungle items, there's a lot of cost effective or free tools to adapt to the game as support - and support characters have the most fun kits

Maybe I'll return to DotA if the new hero is interesting.

Primal Beast was a boring combo between Sand King and Pudge, and more lackluster than any of those.

And making mods is pointless.

you have to be kinda masochistic to play dota, no body gets games with 9 other human beings, there will always be tards no matter the rank, just play casual its still fun
