Turbo has been a disaster for my winrate. The amount of pure nonsense I can play and get away with and rock a 70% winrate like mid IO only to try that shit in a real game and get crushed is a kind of psychological damage that can’t be put into words

I don’t know what the fuck it is. Probably less kill gold and me falling off because of that but i feel like Jerry walking out of the apple simulation every time

Related, but a bunch of stgggs’s videos got axed a year or two ago and I can’t find them. If anyone has links to “Business monkeys” or “Bullies knocking over virtual sandcastles” PLEASE let me know, those are some of his best works.

i'm mutuals with him on twitter so i'll ask him. watch this space

according to stgggs, those videos were removed because a major clip contributor requested they be taken down for personal reasons. i did find one of the two as a reupload though:

bullied permavirgins knocking over virtual sandcastles (stgggs)

Yea, I remember that because I went to his channel again when I heard he was joining OG in dota and most everything was gone. Probably a lot of the stuff where he calls people retards and faggots is privated, gamer words nowadays get you in trouble. As I am sure most people here remember, you could basically say anything (even on twitch) and not get in trouble.
There's still a few videos up on youtube where moon says nigger, i know of at least one. i wonder when people will find that one.

Based micro hero enjoyers where you at?
I'm right here!

Was trying to learn a few earlier this year. Was getting comfortable with micro by playing ET, but with all of these new changes to NP I've been rolling him.

In other news, I was trying to find some Dota merch and found this shitty art.

Wtf is this shit?

ET mid is tons of fun, I only play him when he's strong tho. I'm guessing you're a support player, but are you a Midas Dagon guy or a Midas Sheepstick guy?

Arc's current schizo phase seriously messes with my muscle memory, so I'm mostly spamming Hybrid Visage (60+winrate, 150+games) and occasionally thro

On Ogre? Usually playing 4, occasionally 3 or 2. If supporting I'll go mana boots > midas > whatever the team needs. Typically auras, force staff, vessel, etc. If core I go midas > whatever boots I think I need > fun multicast/strength stat items. Halberd is always a good choice.

Never have touched Arc. Maybe I will eventually when I feel like my micro is good enough.

Thought about sharing a recent match of mine but then I´d dox my Steam.
Wish I could play some matches with my Kiwi Frens. I guess Troons ruin that too.

Anyone watched TI games so far?
I've seen the Shopify vs. Team Spirit match yesterday. I can recommend the streams/videos of Notail and Gorgc (plus Grubby and some other former pro). They give better insight into decisions than casters.

I watched some yesterday, none of the interesting ones unfortunately, think it was mainly Vivo getting stomped by LGD. The only firm takeaway I have is that the production seems sucky. Series was cast by some chick called Moxxi, who sounds like an 18 year old zoomer valley girl stereotype with her grating voice but is in reality a rather battle-worn looking asian woman, with fucking wagamama as co-caster. You couldn't find a less appealing duo if you tried. That and whoever is directing the player cams seems stupid, at one point they actually cut away from the game footage to a full screen player cam with the guy sitting with his feet in the chair rubbing his toes. Truly riveting content.

Oh yeah, quality isn't really consistent. Not sure about the reason, I've noticed some server issues for the last week or so. Custom lobbys/ mods didn't work at all. This might be the same underlying issue.
The camera management is, as per usual, wild.
Big fight is happening, camera is on some dude farming neutrals on the other side of the map.

I'm wondering what kind of shifts in the meta will happen. Haven't seen any stats yet based on picks during TI.

The Tundra vs. Nouns match was standout, not only because of the upset, and due to how the bracket is set up, an NA team is guaranteed to make Top 8, but also because of the awful Chronospheres Skiter landed in Game 2.

Even more surprising than an NA team making top 8 is both (lol) China teams landing in the upper bracket. The region has been godawful for a long time and I figured this might be the event to put a nail through the coffin of china doto but maybe not.
