Notable Dota 2 streamer ChiLongQua has been streaming again increasingly erratically. Yesterday he deleted a stream and wiped all clips after this rant to avoid a Twitch ban:

ClownItDown has now uploaded the stream that was the source of this audio clip to youtube here.
I have added this stream to an archive here.

The incident that was the source for the audio clip happens at 2:53:50 of the stream with additional context surrounding it - somebody in chat asked about Israel/Palestine.

CLQ begins ranting early into the stream, complaining about how hard it is to climb rank around 1:14:00.

At 1:49:30 of the stream he progresses onto griefing matches after a particularly bad experience.

This lasts to the end of the stream, with a change of target at 2:27:00 to target Russian servers.

Please archive all his streams to the forum if you have to if they're good

There are good moments, but they are few and far between the minutes of dead air or mundane dota commentary. I watch by downloading the audio of his streams and skipping through the audio track to areas that peak.

Question for you all. I'm around 3k mmr. I won't peak much higher than this, and I'm okay with that. Is there anything wrong with playing heroes I enjoy that may or may not be "proper" for the role I pick them in?

Because my teammates that pick "unconventional" picks seem like they have a lot of fun.

there is really no such thing as a fixed pick. The only role i can see with a less flexible hero pool is carry, and even that can sometimes change like the ana Io carry pick at TI and the hoodwink carry Parivision have been cooking. I'd only caution you on "outrageous" ones like Pudge carry, since your 3k teammates might see that as griefing and, in turn, grief your game. The best pick is whatever you're having fun and doing alright in

Hunting heroes is the most fun part of the new event, basically at the start of a match you choose a hero you want to hunt for his materials and he gets notified that he is being hunted. If he kills you first, you don't get shit. But if you kill him, you get the loot. He can also taunt you by clicking on the hunt notification which will post messages in all chat such as:
"I'm coming for you, [name]!"

It introduces fun interactions between the players which is a rarity in modern games where everything potentially "toxic" is instantly purged. We need more events like this.

There's nothing wrong with it - its a game for you to have fun playing.

As a courtesy though, if you do this its a good idea to hover your unusual hero during the draft early so that your team can pick with the understanding of what you are intending to play. They can then fill any potential holes that your unusual pick may otherwise leave open with their own picks.

Reminds me a bit of the PA arcana hunt event thingy.

I pick pos 4/5 anyway

has the social credit system ever been good and actually helpful or has it always been shit?

as long as you don't abandon you'll have a good score no matter what.
Unfortunately it's not true, and I found out the hard way

I was playing turbo a lot and turns out positive feedback you gain is halved

So when I played bad, I played bad, and when I played good it added less credit

P.S. never was mean in chat, barely used it
