Some clarifications: he was never a professor at UCLA. He was a lecturer. He did not have tenure. In fact, he was no longer teaching and was in Colorado when he was arrested. He had already essentially been removed from teaching entirely due to previous complaints from students. While he may have technically still been employed, once you work for UCLA you’re basically on file with them forever. I don’t think they actually fire or let people go.
