Skitzocow Dr. Matthew Harris / Matthew C. Harris - love child of Terry A. Davis and Francis E. Dec, sick skitzophenic, really loves saying the n-word, /pol/fessor of UCLA

Edit: My bad, apparently there is another "Matthew C. Harris" in Tennessee in the Economics department who had written the previously mentioned paper. There is nothing, that I can find at least, that tells me that this "Matthew C. Harris" produced anything.

Well I for one would like a little more background before condeming the whole system.
No, fuck the entire education system. If you're not the right race in order to qualify for grants, you don't have deep enough pockets to buy those in charge a brand new yacht, or are unwilling to go into that much debt, you're already disqualified, no matter what. The entire purpose of a degree is now to keep your resume from being thrown straight into the trash before a human being even lays eyes on it, and as demonstrated in this thread, does not reflect intelligence or aptitude in the least.

Like, I get it, that level of anxiety you had to go through is no joke, but that's just another element to how fucked this entire system is. There is no reason you should have to undergo that much stress just to get work in your chosen field, unless you're being purposefully trained to become a relentless psychopath for military purposes.

Found out that he wasn't even a proper professor. He got one of thos "Post-Doc" positions you are supposed to work at for a year or so after getting your PhD as evidenced by UCLA's own announcement page in 2019:

Matthew Harris will join us as a Postdoctoral Fellow in Philosophy after completing his dissertation at Duke University, entitled Continents in Cognition. He works on philosophy of race, personal identity, and related issues in philosophy of mind.

Post-Docs normally work on the dissertation and/or other articles and prepare to publish them. They only last a year or so and then they have to move on if there is no opening.

Apologies if this has been posted before, but found his dissertation. Its a free, 158 page dissertation, and seemingly from overall looking at it seems pretty normal to me:

Is it racist to think that black people think differently from Asian people or that Asian people think differently from white people? In one sense, we want to avoid assuming that someone’s appearance or skin color has any relevance to the intellectually or morally relevant aspects of their being—the ‘content of their character’ which Martin Luther King jr. hoped everyone would eventually learn to engage when interacting with one another. Still in another way, we seem to care about giving people credit for cultural contributions in a way that suggests that ethnic heritage ‘belongs’ to groups of persons in ways that are not entirely arbitrary. That is, we seem to intuitively associate black music with black people, mariachi with Mexican people and Indian music with Indian people. Of course, this is not random. Music and language are important to brain development. So it seems tenable that there are mental attributes of cultural identity that vary in ways that we (non-arbitrarily) associate with varied physical appearances.

Seems pretty normal to me in 2019.

I think, however, this raises some questions:

I would like to acknowledge the contributions of all of my psychological predecessors, especially the non-human.

I agree with a large majority of your views. I do not believe that University education was meant for everybody, its historical background certainly does not provide this conclusion. I am just trying to understand whether he was broken prior to his getting his PhD and subsequent post-doc or was he always just messed up and something triggered him to just jump off the deep end.

I kind of understand his hatred of Africans. Africans are coming over to America and taking affirmative action jobs meant for American Descendants of Slavery (ADOS). Take Kamala Harris for example, her Dad came over from Jamaica. Why does she get the Vice-Presidency handed to her, when it should have been handed to an ADOS?

I hate sperging about my personal life but I have some inside information about how fucked the UC system is when it comes to handing out these rare post-doctoral posts to undeserving chucklefucks.

An ex of mine was a visiting professor in the UC system when Harris started his work there. To give you an idea how much of a leg up affirmative action gave this dude, one of his competitors for his position had published a half dozen papers before graduating undergrad, had two PhDs before 26 and had just closed a book deal with Random House. Unfortunately for her, she made the mistake of being born half-Asian and half-White.

Well I understand that, but realistically in 2022 (or even in 2019) Matthew C. Harris was writing about subjects that were extremely relevant to his time period when he would have applied (BLM, anti-Cop protests and what not). I do not know what the other competitor wrote but it obviously was not relevant to the time period she applied in. It is often a unfortunate factor in academia. If your topic is hot you get hired instantly, if not you're out on the benches.

This happens often. After 2001 there was an upshot in Universities wanting professors in Islamic Studies (for example) because it was incredibly relevant at the time period and many history departments (from what I know) started shifting away from European based history to feature more world history. You have to see the geo-political winds and shift accordingly.

I agree in general but would argue that her book contract and continued high impact journal article output (she's an extremely sought after co-author) suggests she has her finger on the pulse of what was, and is, hot in academia. What she doesn't bring to the table is any kind of diversity points at all.

I suggested at a dinner we both attended that she break her legs and announce her polyamorous relationship. Maybe even publicly acknowledge her forthcoming transition. Her arrival at her next position as a queer, disabled trans man surely would make up for the terrible mistake she made of not being born as a sufficiently disadvantaged ethnicity.

This is the result of your brain getting fried by /pol/ faggotry.
You just freak out and start shit on everyone and everything (except vaguely defined "whites") with no reason at all, while screaming "Nigger", like you are some sort of rabid chimp, until glowies claim you. I lost some pals due to this and it really sucks.

...But shit like this is just hilarious.

Edit. Does he have a history of doing drugs? Because if yes, it might be one of the factors.
I assure you it's schizophrenia. so yeah you're right I guess

A violent pedo schizo nigger was a professor at UCLA and due to his mental illness and the society around him, all he could articulate was hatred of white people, being a nigger, porn and random schizo ramblings. All of the prior is fine, including cp. Literally the only issue UCLA had with him is now the violent intent. I'm even 50% surprised they even bother to care about that. Come on UCLA, let him shoot a few wyppl, why is that bad? I know you people don't think it is actually wrong to do. Maybe the attendance numbers might drop slightly, so they couldn't let it slide.

Yep, sounds about right for Modern America.

I was a supporter until he denied the existence of dinosaurs. The NIGGER fears the dinosaur.

I mean the guy is a schizo but he does make a good point about Epstein. Maybe they want us debating whether he was killed or committed suicide to distract from the fact that he's still alive. If he was Mossad and brought into custody in the US wouldn't he just go back to Israel or another private island? If he was building a blackmail dossier what person in their right mind wouldn't assume he had a dead man's switch for it? In the right hands he'd be the most protected man on the planet, with enough time he'd be a completely new person.
