Some quick first viewing thoughts watching the special:
1. They gave the implied notion that Donna's mom knows damn well the tranny shit is wrong but is having to fake it out of fear that Donna will leave her and the (admittedly deserved) browbeating that she got at the end of Journey's End where Doctor called her the world's worst mother for how she fucked Donna up.
2. They should have just said that Donna wasted her windfall on her kids' sex change surgery instead of charity. At least that would be more believable than she gave it away to charity.
3. They should have ditched the tranny shit all together and instead just focus on the low hanging fruit that was danced around in Donna's original run: she's a coal burner and her kid, male or female, would be mixed race. Could have gotten a lot more mileage out of that without a backlash PLUS would have let them set up Donna giving the inbound Black Doctor her blessing.

Her best friend in the entire universe through her dad gives her a way to make her entire life better after a season of her bitching about how shit her life is and how unlucky she is and RTD has her flush that down the drain?
There’s no way her mum and grandad would ever let her do that.
And yeah, there’s no way RTD would have had her spend all the money on trans upkeep. Don’t want to have to admit how expensive and life messing up it actuslly is.
Not that it should even be an issue in Dr Who. The Doctor absolutely has the mind and tech to make Rose an actual women in seconds and fix all her problems. But for some strange reason I’m betting that will never come up and he never will…

from the leaks I heard (which some of the bits of this episode has pretty much cemented to me as happening) the specials end with:
The doctor undergoing a split regeneration, simultaneously creating gatawas doctor as well as 14 around to travel with donna
so we will probably see tennant show up in whatever spin offs RTD tries to make afterwards

Considering Donna should have had her head explode, but that got backtracked on to just knocked out and RTD has poofed all of her money away thus essentially undoing everything about Donna’s better life and has now allowed her to remember to boot, a split Dr for her to adventure with is something he would do.
It also gives them a ‘in case of emergency button’ they can use just in case

okay finishing it up, ngl its pretty good but Russel basically saying "the metacrisis made Rose trans" makes me legit wonder what RTD means by this. This is some prime Pantomime bullshit. that fucking sign dropping showing the shed looking like the tardis made me laugh my ass off.

Pretty safe, alot smaller scale in terms of action than I expected but I guess the Disney money has to be spread out
Directly opening with David Tennant and Cathrine Tate talking to the screen was awkward as fuck, the doctor looked like he was on a character selection screen in that shot
The two don't miss a beat though, the story was pretty good but its pretty much a modernization of a classic tom baker comic story so what did I expect. The Progressive shit was pretty brisk from what I expected but mostly bc the story goes a mile a minute, the only time I really think it went overboard was with the whole binary nonbinary thing and the speech at the end
that speech was pretty shit bc I think they were trying to get at the doctor's biggest flaw being that he burdens himself with the worlds problems, not sharing them with those around him but even when he was 13 that flaw was pretty damn apparent, alot of the social commentary has that typical RTD feeling of being confused of it's point exactly, especially the aforenoted meta crisis causing transitioning shit that for all his talk about how davaros could be missread, that shit can have just as much people poking and prodding at implications.
over all would give it like a 7.5/10, pretty good but IDK if 13 being the most cookie cutter bullshit lower my expectations that low.

I stopped watching the show after the 12 (because I could see the rising smoke and lost interest after Clara's departure), and only saw the few episodes of the 13 in regards to the retcon and some cringe.
And wow, I must say that the episode fucking sucked and was for the most part cringe. Even when they got 10(14) and Donna, the plot was very dull.
On the actual plot, it feels pretty generic, it's just one alien that looks fluffy (I guess for the man children baby Yoda fans) that's being chased and who turns out to be evil where in contrast the monster looking guys, are just average alien police that turned out to Le good guys. Meanwhile 10 "trying" to avoid Donna doesn't lead to consequences but him wholesomely uniting once again. Also fluffy alien makes a reference to the 'boss' so expect to see something with that.
I wish they gave a proper send off to Wilfred rather then, 'hes just living across the road' considering he's one of the most important character in 10. But it's hard tbf.
The pander towards the disabled was fucking cringe, but what was more cringe is the trans shit that they hamfisted; and further debasing of 10 not only by a form of humiliation as not being the girlboss like 13 but removing the consequences and stakes of his previous arc because Donna gets a tranny 'non-binary' (despite insisting its Le she and the show preaching on it being such a big deal even though only his family cry about it) who absorbed the timelord (I forgot to mention that this has fuck all meaning because of 13) regeneration energy thing.
I know it's sort of part of the show's narrative, where the Doctor survives somehow, but it's so cheap that he gets to have his cake and eat it too. Like with 13 just letting some old guy genocide despite being 13's choice, or as I previously mentioned with 10. Fuck it just go back through your adventures and save those who died and tell 4 to complete the circuit to destroy daleks because fuck consequences.
When I did get introduced to this franchise (mainly by the 9/10 revival), it did inspire me to look at the classic media that was either reuploaded on YouTube or dailymotion, but seeing it's like star wars where its gonna be treated as shit by the current owners who inherited an IP made before their time and have no passion to tell a story but to virtue signal or pander, I'm just disappointed. That's just my two cents.

I am so fucking glad i never got excited for this or anything. Still though! Not even willing to give this cringe or hate views!
The davros thing alone told us everything we needed to know about how far down this shit was falling... and how big of hacks the people behind it are. They literally dragged everyone back just to preach and shove the propaganda down everyone's throats. I told you that there was a good chance of this happening as a consequence of the last few seasons utterly failing. The chuds had to be put in their place for not gobbling down the message and smiling for the last few seasons. (as if the new black faggot doctor wasn't proof enough)
That goes especially with davros and the reasoning behind it, as well as the replies to any criticism or disagreement.
