Not that I watch this shit anymore but I hope they actually remember that the doctor is not an EARTH black guy, he's a TIMELORD black guy. If he somehow has earth black culture that would be ridiculous. Would be like the doctor regenerating into an arab and wearing a turban for some reason even though timelords don't do that

It wouldn’t surprise me if there are renewed calls for the Doctor to fix the Chameleon Circuit in the TARDIS so that it is no longer a police box because ACAB.

Only vaguely on-topic, but one of the few racebends like this that was actually good was Mos Def as Ford Prefect in the Hitchhiker's movie. The rest of the movie kind of blew chunks unfortunately but it made sense. Since he could choose what he could look like and what his name was, and chose to be called Ford Prefect apparently to be inconspicuous, also decided to be a black guy.

I guess RTD really doesn't care about money (as he now has a financial stake in the show) and is just going on a cucksucking rampage entire off of his butt-hurt that Chinball got rightfully rejected by fans, killing the show like he did chasing the woke points.

As for bringing back Donna/Ten; what they should have done is this:

Ten is from right before he visited Rose/regenerated into Eleven. He gets grabbed by mystery forces and ends up on a wreck with a bunch of people, one of whom reveals himself after about 20-30 minutes, as the 14th Doctor. He reveals that Donna has been grabbed after her wedding by aliens (let's say, the Bannermen from Delta and the Bannermen) and holding her hostage to lure the Doctor to his death. 10 and 14 rescue Donna and during the fight, we find out that the Doctor fucked up and Donna really DIDN'T need a mindwipe and would have survived becoming a human/time lord hybrid and Donna gets her memories back and 10 is mortally wounded. 10 apologizes to Donna as he's sent back into time via the person who grabbed him in the first place: the Black Guardian, who the Bannermen are working for. 14 and Donna beat Black Guardian and the Bannermen and Donna becomes the new companion for a season or two to help serve as a lure to get fans back. THEN introduce the barely legal tranny companion once you restore the ratings/audience with two solid years of Black Doctor/Donna adventures.
 
Frankly I don't get why the Doctor really should mention or care for current political events. Someone or something like Trump/Brexit at least for now seem innefectual and not too much of a great change in the tide of history. I would consider stuff like Caesar and Augustus' codification of the Roman Empire, Constantine popularizing Christianity in the western world, the Mongols' radically altering the genetic makeup of Eurasia, Christopher Colombus' successful voyage to the new world, the development of the atomic bomb or the dawn of the space age much more important events that impact the very nature and historical progress of humanity. Those will always be remembered. Unless something changes Trump and Brexit will be seen as odd-ball deviations from the frankly very grim path humanity has been going. It feels so outdated and petty and small scale to mention these. it's going to age so badly in a few years. At least the jabs at Tony Blair in RTD era were just that, jabs, not whole episodes like Arachnids in London or whateever it's called where the whole plot centers around a Trump expy.

Does Doctor Who even remember its own cosmology or pantheon anymore? I kind of assumed they pulled a DC and kind of just dumped all over it and created gay fanfiction.

OG Doctor Who was relatively timeless and they explicitly avoided mentioning politics/politicians by name. It's one of the chief reasons "The Happiness Patrol" is so infamous and considered an old shame by a lot of people involved in it; as Cartmel EXPLICITLY had it made as a take that against Margaret Thatcher complete with Labour/Militant approved homophobia by implying Thatcher's husband was a faggot.

Also, Nu-Who has always been infamous with how it approaches lore and concepts and it's back catalog of past characters. People like Romana, Rani, and the Guardians and UNIT personal like Benton and Yates are off-limits from referencing or showing up. Yet you have shit like the motherfucking MACRA (who's episodes were lost to the ages for DECADES until they were animated) showing up along with the Autons showing up.

It's annoying that I really do like NuHu all the way up to Heavensent, but so many political jabs and quips just make the experience feel dirty. So many episodes I like have these little stains on it. I don't even want to watch Season 10 because Bill Potts seems like a total woke pick, which is annoying as The Doctor Falls looks awesome.

Her boxsets wth David Warner's Unbound Doctor have been good stuff barring 2 or three stories.

If Warner doesn't do it for ya these sets might not be your thing tho.
