It's almost amazing you bring back RTD and he is looking as if he's going to make Chinballs look like a genius.

Well, I mean that's impossible but not even Chinballs ruined Davros.

He did however ruin the Doctors origin to a little black girl...

timeless child is only shit giga nerds care about for continuity porn, aka the people who are die hard (like posters in this thread).
this is to bring back normies who left after 10/11 (depending on who you ask).
Not really just a continuity thing because it removes any pretense of the doctor "just being some fucker with a time machine". Earlier "space jesus-y" shit with the doctor was tied to his reputation built over his entire span of the classic series and unseen war crimes offscreen before the modern show. Now? no just more "the most important person ever just because they exist and have god powers but never really knew it!"
12 - Survival: Villains are....wait what they are cancelling us? OH FUCK UH......FURRIES AND UH....WAR IS BAD.....SHIT
Nonono...
the cheetahmen ran off. And now, the cheetahmen...
There used to be a lot of shitposts on youtube that were literally just this video but I can only find this upload from a decade back with barely any views now.

Watching that new Doctor Who Confidential-type thing. Didn't realize they got Miriam Margolyes for the Meep, nor that it's a full animatronic model. Guess that Disney money is being spent on decent effects, if nothing else. There's also more footage for the next special at the end.

It is not just that, but The Doctor being one of an entire race always gives the threat that if The Doctor's people ever truly went over the edge the Universe may be entirely fucked. No matter how Powerful the Doctor became there were always* those who would be capable of matching him.

*Sure 9-10 always said about him being the last of the time lords, but we knew the Master was out there because of course he would be.

Not at all. Just fill out the online declaration every two years to confirm we're not watching live TV.
Interesting, because I've heard the Beeb is really harassing people over it. Nice to see the Beeb is resigned to its fate.

Finished the episode. Want to punch that fucking tranny cunt in the throat for belittling Tennant for being "a male presenting Time Lord".

I'm looking forward to the news that thing has committed suicide so I can dance on its grave.

The one good thing in the episode was the new console room. It looks cool and a modern update to the old 60s one. Pretty sleek.

I actually found this really sad. Doctor Who is often pretty shit, but the Tennant + Tate combo is something I have very fond memories of, to the extent where I even listened to one of their audiobooks just to relive it. Bringing them back so that the entire episode could be about her troon "daughter" is fucking revolting. I know the show has always been pozzed as fuck, but this was a new level of disgust for me.

I dunno about that. The reasoning behind the lack of chair is the most backwards and hilariously offensive thing I've heard from a progressive in a while, but pre-accident Davros not being in a chair isn't really an issue. Especially not with the original actor portraying him. Now, if we see him again and Davros undergoes the mutation but screams out "DO NOT GET ME THE CHAIR, IT IS BENEATH ME" I'll be on the farms to bitch about it faster than the Tardis itself.
Davros being in a wheelchair isnt due to a "mutation" it's due to his legs literally getting blown off by a bomb. Even if he could survive without the life support shit in his chair keeping his blood flowing dude would have to scoot around on the floor with one arm. Davros in the skit is clearly supposed to be him from before that but it generates a big continuity issue with the original concept of him using his disability as the inspiration for the Dalek's travel machines. The short is meant a s a prequel to an iconic story but it gets so many basic fucking things wrong you wouldn't even have to do research to find out, especially if you're the fucking people known for referencing the old shit who now go "the old shit was bad and mean and perpetuated disabled villains so we're fixing it so it doesn't matter!"
It's laziness mixed with fart huffing psuedointellectualism.

So it's that thing companies do with continuations of shows where they stuff some "new" character in that's either gay woman or transwoman or both and turn the other existing characters into incompotent buffoons to prop up the "cool new rep!!!" character?

Meh, shows been fucking dead to me near ten years now, seeing its rotting corpse repeatedly violated in the years after was somewhat disturbing but now its just fun watching an aged gay probable sex offender clumsily try to sodomize its dusty old bones

Also apparently even some reddit troons are put off by how overt the cancer is

Fascinating. That utterly terrible Moon episode also made me completely drop the show back in the day.

I was a bit interested in Tennant coming back as the Doctor, but after seeing what people are saying about the newest episode, maybe i won't waste my time with the show any more than i already have.

It is not just that, but The Doctor being one of an entire race always gives the threat that if The Doctor's people ever truly went over the edge the Universe may be entirely fucked. No matter how Powerful the Doctor became there were always* those who would be capable of matching him.
Except they have shat all over that repeatedly by making him instead some sort of savant Time Lord messiah too good for their impure morality hence why he stuffed them in the same temporal pocket the wartime Daleks are in.

So the Doctor is better than his entire species, some of whom unlike his universe careening ass probably spent a hefty amount of time sat down going "worst threat to our species is likely one of our own, maybe we should be prepared for that." Turns out any of them that did that should have sat things out.

I'm not up to the more recent stuff but by all accounts those just make them even less impressive which is a shame.

And the latest episode sounds like ass. Good to know Davis return will be taking it even further into a niche audience after it was already dragged into something best pitched at Reddit rather than a human audience.

Tennant's as good as he was back in 2008, same for Tate. It's pretty strange going back to them after having to sit through Ryan and Yaz in Chibnall's shit. You notice the way they speak, the rhythm of their lines and you suddenly remember how humans are supposed to be written.

Tennant and Tate were still good together. The scene where Donna remembers everything and calls the Doctor out for turning her soft was pretty fucking funny. I liked the new TARDIS set. And the effects on the Meep were great.

But oh my God was there so much wrong with this special:

-Wheel-Chaired UNIT woman magically scooting her chair upstairs and around rubble. Is there anyone a military operation would want less at a EMERGENCY CRASH SITE than some fat bitch in a wheel chair?

-"Binary. Non-binary." I think my eyes nearly rolled out of my head.

-The implication that the Doctor turned Donna's son into a tranny. "He built a shed that looks like the tardis and makes stuffed animals that look like aliens and also he thinks he's a girl because I was once a girl. Whoops!"

Watched the new episode I have a few things to say first with the positives
1. Beep The Motherfucking Meep was a great character and the fact it turns out to be the twist villain is great and pretty funny too
2. The Wrath Warriors were cool as fuck and looked like they were stripped straight from Kamen Rider or Super Sentai
3. it's great seeing Catherine Tate and David Tennant Back again, and I look forward to the new episodes for the next 2 specials
4. The new TARDIS interior looks gorgeous and the cinematography is amazing
5. it's great they are giving comic adaptations a try, I wish they would do more

Now for the negatives however many there are
1. Sadly the woke shit was slightly irritating, "did you just assume Meep was a he" "Male Presenting Timelord" like get that shit out of here
2. Rose Noble felt a bit like a Mary Sue character especially at the end, I get the explanation but that doesn't make it any better

But overall I enjoyed the episode even with the silly pronoun and gender shit it was an 8/10 for me

There's actually a decent strip in one of the recent publications where 14 runs into the Sycorax Queen. They try using 10's blood to control him, but obviously it ends up not working since their DNA is completely different. More shit like that would make for good episodes.

And almost all these characters you wish this would happen:

Honestly you could just adapt the novels and comics because there's a whole treasure trove of shit you could remake

Beep was a subversion of the Baby Yoda shit and it's hilarious because he was created 30 years before him
