Me on current Who after that "Global warming is totally real guyz, (even though any moderately sane metric of measuring that proves it's obviously bullshit... but who are you going to believe, us or your lying eyes?) See, look at the future Of Earth where the earth is shit, because of climate change, watch our propaganda!" episode- :

I'll still talk about older actually good Doctor Who stuff here (unfortunately most of that is 3rd party Big Finish these days), but if anything new actually worth talking about happens, I will also be here... But yeah, I'm "out" of watching new episodes of Doctor Who for my own personal enjoyment, for the time being at least- Fuck you Chris Chibnall, I've already known that you were mediocre from your previous Doctor Who offerings, but even I didn't realize that you were *this* bad.

but it wasn't until 12 did it start really getting bad.

I'm sad people have such a bad impression of Capaldi's doctor because the 12th doctor was amazing. But, Ill admitt he really got screwed by Moffat's OC's and being in the middle of the transition between semi-woke Who to Full wokeness.

I felt bad for Capaldi because, believe it or not, fans were pestering him in real life constantly asking about a female doctor, and in the show, Moffat couldn't stop telling us how much better his OC's were compared to the doctor.

For those that couldn't stand the constant Clara shilling, and left the show before Capaldi's final season, I at least recommend Extremis, and World enough and time/ The doctor falls, those show Capaldi's doctor at his best. They were really great episodes. The former because it has a great twist with its legitimately a scary premise and the later because it is a great master story.

The other episodes in his final season are meh and you can skip them, but those are well worth it.

Global Warming episode? Does any brave soul here want to start doing spoiler-heavy capsule reviews so obsessive old DW fans like me can satisfy our compulsive curiosity without having to watch this?

I did a literal air-punch when Capaldi walked out as the new Doctor. I felt it was a return to the First Doctor style of curmudgeonly saviour and would work really well. And I think it very, very nearly did. I mean some of the stuff he came out with was amazingly dark. Like where they're in the digestive tracks of a Dalek and one of the people with asks if their recently killed companion is here. "Yes, top layer mostly if you want to say a few words" as he waves at the bio-sludge all around them. I think he actually started off quite well. But his run was flawed by well... we've gone over it so many times already haven't we?

wtf with ripping off Spaceballs?

Doctor Who ended at the 50th. What we got now is Jake Who.

Loved the classic series. Loved the new series up to the 50th. The show is now so shit I want to see it cancelled and never come back. Fucking hell Chinball Who makes Colin Baker and early Sylvester McCoy era Who look like high art.

You take that back, Colin Baker was a SAINT. (I won't defend McCoy though)

Don't be an asshole, no other Doctor does parlor tricks the way McCoy does.
Hey now, it's not like I shit on McCoy or anything, I just always found his "I knew what was going on the whole time and was always 7 steps ahead" shtick to be more annoying than anything, especially considering the (in retrospect, hilarious) way 7 *canonically* died.
You know, ironically, some parts of the death story that Big Finish wrote for Sixie, 4ish years ago, would have also made sense in an actually *good* death for 7, (i.e. not getting randomly killed in some random gang shootout on Earth, when he was apparently too stupid to check the T.A.R.D.I.S. monitors before exiting... while he was *also* apparently supposed to be transferring the remains of the "dead" Master to an entirely different planet... i.e. Gallifrey...) ...Contrast that with the (relatively) recent Big Finish death story for Sixie, who clearly *knew* that he either had to die, or else the Valeyard would win... In short, a sacrifice from a Doctor, in a genuine no-win scenario... IMHO that *should have* been the way you kill "the cosmic chessmaster." But it was instead used to kill the Doctor who (heh) was born as a psychopathic, companion-strangling asshole, sixie, only he got a genuine softer side when he was given a second chance (mostly in Big Finish Audio,) but yeah, that only makes me like Sixie even more than 7...

You know..you know what really annoys me.

Dr Who has been too busy fucking around with stupid shit like Clara and temporal ass cracks, and Nigger Lesbo's and space Troons that we haven't gotten any fun with the Valeyard.

Colin Baker got royally screwed. The guy had a passion for the show and got the worst episodes. Luckily he was redeemed with Big Finish. Big Finish Colin is brilliant.

Lately I find myself going back and watching old Skool Classic Doctor Who. Currently re-watching Troughton.
