The one he did about Power Levels was fairly accurate in my opinion. He's still making videos?
i wonder how long I'll see this posted around and treated as gospel before he tweets he's never actually seen the show
I was being coy about his Naruto video midwits and redditors can't stop bringing up because they have the attention span and critical thinking of a fly raised on an ipad. I can't take the fag seriously anymore because of that and him doing the aforementioned tweet. The one he did about Power Levels was fairly accurate in my opinion.
What do you think are his most "uneducated" guesses or opinions from the show?
This is why the original DB anime(and corresponding part of the manga) was best. It had adventure, humor, fantastical stuff and suspenseful fights.Power levels exist in this weird space where people claim it was all just a big joke Toriyama was making, but will also take them deathly seriously, especially when it comes to powerscaling. Power levels mean nothing...but because character X has a power level of Y, he can destroy the planet by flexing his nostrils. Ignoring that even Toriyama made it so power levels do have meaning, the only reason characters lose to other characters is because the winner has a bigger number. He'll stand there and not flinch or get a bruise as the loser wails on him, staying still as a statue, not because of some ability or technique, but just because he has a bigger number.
This has literally never been true.DB: I must win by being the better fighter and having the most skill
Saw that in my recommended, never got around to it. His Gohan video was listenable so I expect this one to be interesting. He shouldn't be taken anymore seriously as these videos, as in he's just a man who's just giving his thoughts on a subject and shouldn't be taken as anything scholarly...not that it'll stop certain retards but eh.Any of you posted this? Another PlagueOfGripes video.

He regurgitates cringe TFS memes like heckin Princess Trunks. Video is trash by default.shouldn't be taken as anything scholarly
Honestly, it must be so easy to be a successful DB content creator. He regurgitates cringe TFS memes like heckin Princess Trunks. Video is trash by default.
Plague is the poster boy for a particular brand of smug faggot that thinks seething about the thing he claims to like makes him the heckin smartest fan. He's not insightful either he wildly oscilates between mainline stuff and using any random crap from filler or movies depending on which suits his seething more. Case in point this video.
Roshi was going easy on goku in the first tournament. He held him in the beam thing to get him to submit, if he was trying as hard as he could have, he would have had an easier time winningThis has literally never been true.
Like, at all.
All of Goku's training all throughout Dragonball (with exception to Popo + Kami at the very end) was focused entirely on increasing his physical abilities. Roshi's "training" was just arduous physical exercise that increased Goku's physical abilities. Korin's training was just attempting to catch him for however long it took + the strength gained from climbing the tower, and the Ultra Divine Water was just a straight up power increasing poison.
Goku either won or lost his fights solely on either luck or anime grit and determination, or by just straight overpowering his opponents effortlessly.
He lost to Roshi because his legs were shorter. He lost to Tien because he got hit by a car. He lost to Tamborine because he was hungry and tired. He lost to Tao because he was just plain weaker.
Meanwhile, he beats Tao by training and just overpowering him. He beats Tamborine the same way. He beat King Piccolo with a typical anime power through moment.
It's not that deep. People like it because its better. Theres more humor and adventure. It has a sense of wonder to it DBZ doesnt matchEarly Dragonball gets romanticized a lot because some people seem to think that having read or watched it makes them better than the riff-raff casual watcher who only watched Z, but at the end of the day, it's all remarkably similar to how things play out in Z.
Let's not forget that Goku by the end of OG DB was stronger than "God".
Completely fuckng untrue to the point where Roshi in a desperate attempt to win cracked out a technique that is normally lethal to try to get Goku to submit. He just wasn't trying to kill Goku, which, of course, you're not allowed to kill your opponent in the Budokai Tenkaichi.Roshi was going easy on goku in the first tournament
Half of the arcs in classic DB are fucking tournament arcs played completely straight. I like the early part of the series too, but it's by no means better, as the most fondly recalled parts of the first half of Dragon Ball are from the arcs that are generally the least full of wonder and adventure. (Except Tao, Tao was based)It's not that deep. People like it because its better. Theres more humor and adventure. It has a sense of wonder to it DBZ doesnt match
I advise you read the manga.even the deus ex machina potion goku gets, he has to work hard for and outsmart his surroundings.
TFS was one of, if not the worst things to happen to the 'DB community' online. He regurgitates cringe TFS memes like heckin Princess Trunks. Video is trash by default.
Yes I know it's filler. I don't see what it matters when its part of the anime.Completely fuckng untrue to the point where Roshi in a desperate attempt to win cracked out a technique that is normally lethal to try to get Goku to submit. >Winning by being the most determined is a matter of skill.
When I say "Anime grit and determination" I mean "Goku summons up enough power to blast straight through Demon King Piccolo's chest and win". This isn't a matter of skill, it's a matter of being the main character.
Tien is meant to be just as skilled as Goku, and he gets his ass fucking pulverized in the DKP arc because not main character.

Most of the adventure you fondly recall is Toei Filler.
I advise you read the manga.
Everything about that "working for it" is total filler.
In the manga, Korin just says "Oh by the way, I actually have real Divine Water that makes you stronger, but it kills you" and then Goku drinks it and the next chapter he's fine and can fight Demon King Piccolo.
They are definitely one of the main proponents of the "Goku is a bad dad" meme. It's stunning to me that people even now don't understand why Goku gave Cell the Senzu Bean. It wasn't because he wanted Cell to have a "fair fight" against Gohan, but he was trying to lull Cell into a false sense of security by letting him return to full strength (though Goku probably knew that Cell hadn't even started using his full power so the effect the bean had on Cell's strength would've been minimal). It was because Cell was feeling so confident that he decided to goad Gohan out of interest in his full power.TFS was one of, if not the worst things to happen to the 'DB community' online.
People say Filler is a bad thing because it's at the end of the day, a complete waste of time that will never be referenced ever again. (Not that Toriyama had a habit of referencing even canon characters all that much). Filler arcs have to be completely self contained adventures that will never impact the story ever again. Super Kaioken in the Z Anime is complete filler that opens up a lot of questions as an example of what happens when you don't do that. As does the existence of Pikkon.Don't have much interest in the manga. I enjoy the world created by the anime for what it is. I don't know why people say filler like its a bad thing. I'm watching kai now and it feels so rushed in comparison.
The original DB was pretty much a constant adventure. The only part where it got less so and more tedious was the red ribbon army arc
For every fun filler episode, there's 10 pointless time wasters. That's extreme hair splitting. Filler episodes are fun. I'd rather see the driving episode than read the manga straight througn
For those that don't know, both Naruto and Shippuden each separately have a 41% (not kidding) filler percentage. Never watched a series with such an egregious amount of filler.Naruto's fillers have a poor reputation for reasons already mentioned.
