Tumblr might have won now, but at a huge cost, this incident probably set a large negative stigma for the Dream Daddy fandom and will be seen by many onlookers for months to come.

I sure as fuck hope so, Steven Universe and Undertale took some time to become infamous, Dream Daddy got cancerous so fast, it was basically born as SJW cancer. It really shows that it was always aimed at the Tumblr sjw crowd and this reaction is not surprising at all.

So we just completed one of the routes, Damien the Goth Dad, in the Let's Sperg thread. This triggered the ending. Allow me to give the most fairest and unbiased review here:

For starters, it runs like shit. Somehow it takes more resources then Hearthstone, and I'm sure I could compare a few other games to it, unfavorably so. This is because it uses Unity, and I don' t know why they used Unity, but whatever. Our main protagonist's inner monologue has an internal voice that doesn't match a lot of our dialogue, which creates a disconnect and makes it damn near impossible to really get into character. Some of, okay a lot of the jokes fall flatter then pancakes. Chapter 1 takes forever, clocking in at about 2-3 hours depending on personal reading speed, and the dates are comparatively short, taking about a half hour for each and there's only three for each dad. Taking the third date triggers the ending, so the amount of date content we have a meaningful impact on is limited.

The good bits: Amanda (the main character's daughter) and her dad have wonderful character interactions. In fact, a lot of the more serious dialogue is very well written. At the very least, Damien has a wonderful character arc, and while I don't know about the rest, I get the feeling that the more serious scenes are a lot better then the attempts at humor. So all in all, it's not a terrible game and actually has some good moments, but in the end, I suggest you save your $15 and buy something else. Let me do it for you, in fact, because hey, once you read all about it, no need to play it yourself, right?

I actually find it a bit pitiful that this game will be buried under its own fandom nonsense. There was potential here, but now I imagine the people who worked on this are going to end up dropping it from their resumes, and we may not see anything more from the creators for a while. Which sucks, they have potential, they just need an editor and a little more practice to make something great.

Someone made a tumblr post of artist saying she is leaving twitter: http://smiling-prompto.tumblr.com/post/163552582484/reasons-i-hate-tumblrbait-games-like-dream-daddy

Do you think people are feeling bad now? Of course not. Just click on "Show more notes" and scroll down to see the dozens of replies, one more cancerous than the others. Some examples:

I hope she never comes back! She’s a notorious racist on top of her recent art being transphobic and fatphobic and she shouldn’t be tolerated on have a following on any website.

She’s literally a white woman who appropriates black culture, primarily through her hair, and thinks it’s okay to use the n word because her boyfriend is black.

The game, no matter how problematic, was made for LGBT people and they shouldn’t have to block or blacklist to avoid transphobic art.

She deserved all the harassment she got and none of the support she’s getting.

Stop apologizing for bigots, they don’t deserve the platform you’re giving them.

nefepants said: LMAO this ugly white woman would rather leave all social media than apologize for LITERALLY using the word nigger and not even being ashamed about it, y'all Ohnips stans are garbagē

EEEEEDDDDDDDGGGGEEEEEEEEEE

Almost the entirety of the game was made for the G in LGBT and if they didn't shoehorn in this tranny nonsense (MUH BINDERS) the game would be better off for it. Troons are simply not worth involving in anything at this point, considering they have a near 100% toxicity rate.

Ohnips posted an apology...to people who actually were upset and calmly explained why to her. The others she told to fuck off.

That bit isn't even shoehorned in. I took that character's route and never got that line, meaning it must have been a dialogue choice i didn't pick, meaning it's possible to completely skip it.

So, it's basically all G with one missable line that maybe sorta could be T. If you squint really hard. The Let's Sperg thread agrees that there's zero evidence Damien is a T anyway.

Pack it up, gang. All that alleged 'harassment' and 'death threats' were completely made up!
Screen Shot 2017-07-30 at 1.46.37 PM.png

No proof of it anywhere!
Screen Shot 2017-07-30 at 1.46.44 PM.png

Absolutely nothing to be found!

Nobody wished death on her ever! So, don't try to pretend you can find a ton of harassment and threats just by searching her name, because remember...

You can't prove anything.

Something I've been noticing lately is that the people speaking for transgenders refuse to argue with the ones who love the art or say the art isn't offensive. It's like they don't actually care about social justice and just want to whine at "cis people".

Literally no one anywhere is saying that rule 63 is the standard for how the "female version" of a man is meant to look. It's just an artist's interpretation.
