Pimp your story in a succinct way & state intentions to get money so you don’t need to be dependent on bootlickers.

You never know, some charity org could potentially see helping as good optics. Or dreamhost & others might get horrible optics, or reverse course. Fairly certain that KF has tried staying out of mainstream media, but now that this is happening, one option is to use the media.

Express that part of the current problem is that some ridiculous complaint, to the right tech asshat, running his end of the woods, causes this shit to happen. To anyone.

Announce what’s happening & what you need. Go to press, fundraise, etc.

Catch all the eyes you can, make all the groups who say they care, look like the hypocrites they are, if they don’t do shit in the face of such suppression.

If none of the “freedom, free net” charities or philanthropies help, they are on public record being hypocrites. If you’re going to make ‘em choke on their BS, you could make one statement to media, get it published wherever possible, & attach a fundraiser for $75k to become a new registrar.

The worst that could come from this is not getting the funding in the next few weeks, or people laugh, say “how dumb” or ignore it. Big deal, most assume they know anything about KF, when they don’t. One statement from you could be neat. Maybe lucrative, definitely prove a point. Anyone who says bad shit, lies, etc, they are already doing that. Fuck ‘Em. Other, helpful people, could see it, & something clicks, & you reach goals.

The matter is people dislike us and anyone or any company attempting to defend this website will have to deal with ~le bad optics~ for that. Those who can deal with that will not because they don't benefit from it, and the people who would deal with that do not have the means to do so.

Those "Freedom, Free Net, Free Speech" charities are hypocrites, we have it on public record already and nobody gives an iota of a fuck because those institutions are backed by people with power.

All this was a inconvenience, and really nothing more. I don't get why the Twitter SS was celebrating. Even if they managed to bring down the farms, it's not gonna stop people from veiwing the shit that's here (Wayback Machine's a thing). Plus if the farms does go under other sites will just pop up in it's place.

I'm an old hag and I've been on the interwebs forever. In the 90s, all we had was consolidation for the normies - AOL, Prodigy, etc. All the nerds and pervs hung out on private listservs and bulletin boards. We are seeing a re-consolidation to that norm - curated sites that keep normal folks comfortably ensconced in a bubble. Unfortunately, that bubble embraces perverts (some of the porn on Twitter..holy sheet), while pushing out anyone who says stupid shit (y'all). It's a shame really.
