Dreams

The first thing I do when I get up is look at my emails. Today I got an email from torrid (a plus size clothing company) with the subject "want an American boyfriend?". ("Boyfriend" is a term for a certain cut of jean.)

I fell back asleep, and my dream was Chris posted on fb about how offended he was about the email. He didn't like the term "boyfriend".

I, for the past year or two now, have different dreams, that take place inside a mall. Not a regular shopping mall, but with rather weird architecture. Some rooms are as big as symphony concert halls, other rooms look like restaurants, others are things like meat lockers, giant claw machines, small movie theaters, western style shacks with dynamite, etc. All of these rooms are connected by an outside that would pass for an otherwise normal indoor mall. The style of the mall also changes from section to section. Some sections are in the style of the 1970s, while others are more modern, and some even resemble the outside, with the tile floor being replaced by asphalt streets and concrete sidewalks. The really weird thing is the part with the asphalt doesn't look connected to the mall at all, but I know it is a part of the mall. If I ever dream that I'm there, I never enter or leave, I'm just automatically there.

The content of the dreams that take place in this mall always vary. Sometimes, I am just wondering around the mall, going into the shops, despite being the only customer in the entire place. Other times, it is packed, and I'm with friends or family. On more than one occasion, I've had dreams of shoplifting from several of the stores. Sometimes I get away with it, other times they see me do it and I have to run. Once had a dream I was breaking into the stores at night to steal stuff, another dream was where I got into a gunfight in one of the larger rooms. Every dream that takes place inside the mall is calming, but always slightly off. Like I know something is wrong, but I'm not uneasy enough to pin down exactly what it is.

I had a dream that was kind of cool and touching at the same time.

One thing I often do in real life is build electronics projects. In my dream, I decided to build a time traveling device. I sat down, took a watch, and placed an Arduino and some form of exotic matter inside it. When you pressed the button on the top right, a wormhole would open up in front of you, held open by exotic matter, and you could walk into it to any place in the metaverse; including alternate universes. Presumably, the other buttons on the watch were used to configure where the other end of the wormhole opened up, and the many-worlds interpretation of quantum physics was thus proven "correct". While not quite "time travel", the watch could be used to walk to different universes where events had played out differently than ours (including universes where history was otherwise identical but had not progressed as far, or progressed farther).

Anyhow, I wanted to make my first trip using the device. My mother suggested we use it to visit my dead grandfather, who in real life passed away in 2008 from lung cancer. I suggested that while we couldn't bring him back, we could visit a universe where he had never died, living normally until the present day. I pressed the button, the wormhole opened up, and we walked into an alternate timeline. The device was a success.

I don't remember much after that, but eventually we found our way to my grandma's house. In real life, she had to move out last year after collapsing. We learned that in this universe, she was still living there, and with my grandfather. After paying them a visit, I stood in the living room as my grandfather walked out into the hallway. All I could say was "Holy crap, it's grandpa. Grandpa's back.", and my mother just cried in joy to see him alive again. I gave him a big hug. He had no idea what was going on, just asking what's gotten into the two of us, completely oblivious that we had seen him die years ago in our own worldline. We spent some time at grandma's house; he was still fiddling with the old Windows 98 computer that he would never get rid of.

As this had happened, a mysterious man had apparently discovered what I had built and that I had used it. After leaving grandma's house, I walked through town and encountered him. He was a big, belligerent fellow, quite angry. He had demanded I give him the watch immediately; I refused, as I needed it to return to my own worldline. We got into a fist-fight as he tried to remove the watch from my wrist. To end the fight, I pressed the button, and opened a wormhole in front of us; I then kicked him through it, into a different universe. What makes this particularly interesting is how he knew I built such a thing, how he got here (obviously needing some kind of device of his own), and why he was so angry that I had one.

We later drove through town in this universe. Entire blocks had been demolished and were being redeveloped; I could only marvel at how different this worldline was from our own, and how different things could have been in the one I came from.

I had a dream last night I was in the basement of this weird hotel trying to pick up the signal for a secret show about alien abductions on a TV. :|

I've had weird premonition dreams where I'll dream up a mundane scene and then months later, I get a felling of Deja vu. One time I dreamed about watching a TV show and about a year later, the memory came back to me. The odd thing was that the show didn't exist when I had the dream.

oh you guys. I had two Kai dreams two days in a row. Horrifying.

In the first one, myself and some people foud out that Kai frequently visited a gaming store. The manager said it was ok for us to show a film about Kai and have a sleepover afterwards. The film is shown on a big screen in the store, and a lot of people came to watch it. Highlights included:

  • Kai bought a Pikachu sippy cup from the store once. Souce: the manager
  • There was extensive footage of Kai and her husband Matt getting questioned by police for having their ways with their drunk friend (that happened irl if you don't follow Kai). Kai was in the backseat of the cop car, boo hooing, not understanding why she was there. A couple of neighbors came outside, wondering what was up.Matt tried to get in the cop car with her, but they hauled him away and he got angry.
  • The other highlights were just her shitty youtube vids.
Everybody was dying laughing. After it was over, I begun helping out with setting up the slumber party, and I walked by Kai. Her and her MOM showed up. Someone walked up to Kai with a child's booster seat. I remember it was blue, and had a sticker on it that said, "I <3 the 2000s".

The second dream was that I was staying at Marcia Clark's (yeah from the OJ trial) house with some girls. Kai came home with a girl after a night of boozing. She tried to smoke a cigarette, but she couldn't get the hang of it.

Next thing I knew the fucking house was on fire.

As of late, my dreams have become increasingly boring or mundane. A few weeks ago, I had a dream where I sharpened a pencil and felt really proud, only to wake up to discover that I had not sharpened any pencil. Think of the disappointment. A few days ago I had a dream where I changed my desktop background. I feel as if my dreams are portents of change or future achievements in my life.

I, for the past year or two now, have different dreams, that take place inside a mall.

I always dream about the two former malls in my hometown. One is offices now and the other was town down for something more modern.

Just yesterday I dreamed that jon Stewart planned on buying the mall that's offices. He wanted to buy it so he could pour chili in it. Hot dog chili.

I dreamt that I was talking to my high school History teacher again and we were having a discussion about HP Lovecraft and Scythia. Then I woke up and I felt disappointed because he was a pretty cool teacher and I enjoyed talking to him.

I also had one rather grim dream, or rather a segment of a dream, wherein Jace got a real gun and killed himself during a stream. It was brief but I recall feeling freaked out when I woke up.

For my whole life I've always dreamed whenever I go to sleep and I've always heard loud bangs and noises while falling asleep. My father has the same problem only worse.
Anyway, 3 years ago I did 300 micrograms of acid (LSD) and ever since my dreams have been completely off the f---ing wall. It was really bad to begin with and I was seeing severe image burn-in while awake but over time it has slowly healed down to a certain level. But the dreams, Jesus. I see bizarre objects and forms that I never used to see while dreaming. And unlike before, the plots are far more intricate and they actually make sense...

Strange, I've done LSD, DMT and mushrooms (fortunately not at the same time) and my dreams have remained a constant bore. I did dream that I was watching an Adrienne Shelley movie, but then realized half way through that she's dead in real life, and then the movie froze as if to say "why'd you have to go and ruin the fun?"

I had a dream once about a situation that happened to me years ago when I was in school. What happened was, there was this one kid who was humiliating me in front of everyone and in the immediate presence of the both the regular teacher and intermission teacher. In the actual event, I asked this one kid for help and he hung me out to dry because he cared more about winning some review game and getting extra credit on an upcoming test. In the dream, the roles were reversed: the kid who hung me out to dry was being humiliated in front of everyone and was asking me for help while I was on the other side of the room writing something on the chalkboard. I turned around, unsure of if I should help this person, and then I woke up. This was right after I found out this same kid had been arrested and got in some serious legal trouble, too.

For the past while, I've been dreaming about apocalypses. Not too sure why.

I've had one memorable dream recently, though. It was about how my father and I adopted a man into our family who had a horses head and tendencies. He was a horse in emotion, and stampeded around the house, causing destruction and whatnot. It ended when he kicked a fire alarm, and the sprinklers went off. My dad said as Horseboy ran into the distance:

"He may not have been a good horse, but he was a good boy."

I then woke up and stared at myself in the mirror for about ten minutes.

I had the weirdest dream last night. It was weird because I don't usually remember dreams so vividly.

I was at watching some play in a theatre when all of a sudden a man yelled that all of the money the play had collected had been stolen. The police soon flooded the scene and I offered to help them, to which they agreed because I was a private detective (lolwat). So I pulled out a pistol I apparently had with me and we cornered the culprit backstage, he tried to run but I floored him with a hip throw. We got all the money back, but then we realized that the robbery was just a diversion in order to kidnap some random chick.

The whole crime scene smelled of weed so I quickly deduced a nearby cave full of hippies was the cause of all this. I went to investigate the cave, but it was empty. Then I noticed a hole behind a gaudy looking tent and crawled into it.
I arrived at a clearing where dozens of hippies were dancing and turning into anthropomorphic panthers, wolves and raptors. Then I was captured and told that they were trying to bring their panther/wolf/raptor god to our world and that they needed a blood sacrifice for their ritual.
I wrestled against the guards, pulled out my pistol and shot the chief hippie. Suddenly all of the hippies turned back into humans and their god yelled "NOOO! You will pay!" and for some reason a human god that looked like Chris in his cherokee outfit congratulated me in defeating his ancient nemesis. All the hippies surrendered to me because they were hippies, what could they do to me? Then I realized I was naked and woke up.

What about dreams where you're in danger or are in an environment you never expected working in? What can you explain about those dreams?

My last dream I was in a hotel called Catch-22 (must be all the Heller I'm reading), and I was talking to reception about all the zany antics that went on in the hotel (I naturally thought the hotel and the book were as one) but the receptionist was cagey as hell, saying "don't know what you're talking about, sir." Later on, I was in this militaristic training module with my schoolyard friends, most of us didn't pass the test: Bart Simpson (?!) felt so rejected he started infecting everyone who did get in with a motor neuron disease (via mushrooms!) and I had to chase him around to stop him.

For the first time, I caught a cue that I was dreaming as I slept and I was able to briefly control it. The trigger that made me realize I was dreaming was when I slipped on stairs outside my house and my vision shook in a very cartoonish way. After that, I'd been able to do a few things then either drifted into dreamless REM sleep or abruptly woke up at 7 AM. This was assisted by a series of binaural beats I found which supposedly enhance lucidity and I'm not sure if the sounds induced that episode or if that was the product of my mind alone, but either way I'm happy to see some progress in my adventures in lucid dreaming.

I love flying in dreams I had one where I teleported to a tree branch in the canopy of a jungle on some extrasolar planet in another galaxy (after flying around a bit). That was pretty cool. The scenery looked like one of those space art wallpapers.

Hmm, I recall having a dream/meditative vision. I dreamt I was slipping into a black abyss, and I was greeted by a giant head of Kim Jong-un in black and white, whose face contorted whenever I exhaled. Suddenly, it became white, fuzzy, and colorful, and I ended up walking amongst Buddhist, Taoist, and Shinto temples and palaces from the Orient, with images of Martin Luther King, Ho Chi Minh, and Kim Il-Sung appearing in the sky. I also saw golden Buddhist statues of Gabe Newell and I saw two anthropomorphic ponies playing traditional Japanese instruments.
I also had another vision while meditating/astral projecting. I envisioned myself leaving my physical form, and I walked out of my house and made it to the city square, where I began bouncing up and down incredibly high, and began flying. I saw the city and the whole of the US at night, and it went black as I crossed the Pacific. I reached Seoul, which was empty. I went to a bar, and a middle-aged man passed me a cherry Coke, and asked me to give his brother a message. I said sure (I feel adoration for the man when I think of him, it's really weird.), and flew across the border to North Korea, which had American and North Korean guards clad in 50s army uniforms watching over newly constructed concrete barriers on the border. I reached Pyongyang, and I went to an apartment, and found his brother, Kim Il-Sung, an anthro pony, and Nigel Thornberry. I assume that I got drunk and fucked them, as I woke up with Nigel Thornberry. I then flew to Kim Jong-un's palace, beat the shit out of him, and rescued the anthro pony. Who I then brought to a mansion in a vineyard.

Tyce what is this?
