Seeing dsp playing BG3 and divinity 2 is a treat(also a tid bit of frustration) since he's too much of a dumbfuck to actually sit still and read and see what the game is throwing at you. It exposes his mentality of "gotta bum rush to complete this game" games like bg3 are made to be interacted with. Can you imagine this dipshit in an IRL dnd campaign?

Just a side note for the non BG players. BG by default uses something called Karmic Dice that changes the odds when you get too many successes or failures in a row, so the randomness of dice is less of a factor in the game.

The idea that DSP thinks he is a variety streamer is so delusional. He genuinely believes that he can gain some "momentum" by playing new games until the end and some random dude will discover him on YouTube among numerous detractor channels.

I know he will wagequit it, but is there a slim possibility that his ego is so bruised by it winning and the trolls laughing at him he will tank through it for more than a couple of streams just to try and recover some of his pride?
That rant was so fucking delusional and I am glad Snort uploaded a condesned version of it with all the gold dust.
1) How dare you tell me how to run my business. I have successfully ran it for 15 years and ignore that I had to declare bankruptcy and per my own words are perpetually on the brink of homlessness
2) His usual cope and envy of other gaming channels and how they only follow trends. DId you know that all these popular YouTubers dropped BG3 a week into release because other games came out? Not a single gaming channel that followed the trends actually completed the game, and Phil will prove this by not naming names, saying his same spiel about us all being rubes who have basically gotten scammed of meaningful content.
3) His usual cope on how he is successful and happy despite being completely fucking irrelvent outside of being laughed at and occasionally going viral for being a retard.
4) BG3 is literally DARK SOULS because I have to *gasp* learn the game mechanics. The game wants me to study the mechanics like it is some kind of test dood! What the fuck!!!! How comes I can't just facetank everything. The game should just give me some OP spell to spam every turn and make me invincible.
It's clear the only way this game would be enjoyable for Phil is if the totally super hard and complex combat was done automatically and did the best moves for him. God of War devs should be ashamed they saw Phil as the total retard they need to handhold, because any game that is slightly the opposite of Ragnarok in handholding (Bear in mind he fucked up in Ragnarok a ton where there wasn't any handholding, like upgrading your gear and shit) and Phil is totally fucking lost. I don't think he'd actually complete any games if he didn't stream them so chat can help him out.

What really gets me is when Phil encounters something and says, "Oh, I was supposed to know that!?" No Phil, you weren't necessarily "supposed to know that." Video games can surprise you. Not every single thing in a game needs to be explained beforehand. In 95% of games, the worst thing that can happen is you die and try it again, now with the knowledge of what to expect. That's called learning and some people like doing that.

The only reason he believes that he's a variety streamer is that his dents give him a huge cash infusion anytime he switches to a new games (See the BG3 stream racking in 250 bucks). He's right, he can't just keep playing the same game for his content to remain 'relevant' cause his dents have trained him that way.
He's completely disillusioned that he has different groups of people that comes in for different genres. From the way he talked today, I believe that he believes that he probably has 40% regularly viewers who'll watch anything and 60% who are in small groups that only want certain genres. In reality, it's more like 95% are the regularly views. It's the same people in chat no matter what game he's playing. The only reason he got 1.4k for BG3 was the hype around him raging and sperging out. I'm going to have the stream running in the background muted tomorrow just to help gaslight him that his BG3 streams are popular, which will make his eventual wage/rage quit so much sweeter when he has to justify losing the higher viewers.

He thinks "variety streamer" means he has to play a different game every stream. Variety streamer just means you play various kinds of games.. not that you bounce around between 10 of them and take 6 months to beat anything.

I never got this variety streamer concept anyways. Sure you have streamers who play certain genres, but a vast majority of streamers are 'variety streamers'. I could go pick out any random number of streamers and check what they have been streaming the past six months and it will be a variety of games. I don't see why Phil thinks variety streamers are rare and basically nonexistant when by default anyone can be a variety streamer, it's just called fucking streaming what you want when you want to.
Hell most of these guys don't even have a schedule they autistically follow, they just pick up a game and play it start to finish because they find it entertaining, the audience finds it entertaining, and it's something both parties can enjoy.
