if i wanted to see phil fail I simply would not list out every single chance he has to fail for anyone to see, honestly.
He just complained on the Daily Crap about how the game didn't explain to him the "oil on the floor", "explosive barrel", "open and closed doors in khmabet" and "revive" mechanic. Someone could write a comprehensive guide on how to beat BG3 on here and he'd still RQ before he reaches Act 2.

ya i know, i just always find it funny when someone is just "phils absolutely gonna get FUCKED when <extremely detailed description of event> happens, he'll never see it coming"

Ironically, these are the same kind of complaints he had way back when he poorly stumbled through his first playthroughs of Dark Souls. These kinds of outbursts are thoroughly disproving his fake persona of being a meaningful gamer now, who has changed and appreciates games. He hasn't changed at all, he's still the same scrub expecting to be hand-held through all games and if they require a modicum of thought or adaption, not giving him giant quest markers about where to go or what to do he throws a tantrum.

WWEC is truly the perfect game for him... and he doesn't get to stream it because of his poor life choices. Pathetic.

I'm taking this too seriously, but I really think people like him have done more damage to gaming as a medium than EA or Ubisoft ever could (cue clip of God of War devs proudly showing off at conference, how they made sure even the guy can figure out where to go at all times). If it weren't for indie games, there'd be only a handful of games each year that don't play themselves.

He's going to sleaze his way through it like a tapeworm. Probably going to play on easy and have people hand hold him to an egregious extent. It's also kind of yalls fault. Whenever the trolls hype up him doing terribly in a game it gets him insecure and he starts reading guides/asking for advice from chat. Thanks for ruining his playthrough guys.
Tbh it’s pretty easy to figure out if he’s fucking with the difficulty. He’s on the “balanced” middle option rn afaik. <edited this part bc I think it’ll be too obvious what I’m taking about> I don’t wanna blast it all over the thread bc you know he’s reading it, but there’s a tell..

There was a post going around twitter comparing spiderman to BG3 because sony fanboys were upset it won over spiderman in every category they competed in. I can't help but think too how true this is. The spiderman footage was him all powered up with venom powers etc. And it was just a cinematic fight that played out while you pressed buttons now and them spew more garbage on screen. The BG3 footage they literally just took the second / third fight out of the tutorial and did a single attack and it still looked more like comparing a fireworks show to a game of chess if you put any actual thought into what was being shown to you.

The DSPs of gaming will devour any slop down as long as it is instantly rewarding and flashy. They do not have the patience or thought process to appreciate anything outside of immediate gratification. So even when trying to besmirch BG3 they don't understand why their game is so bad in comparison. There is only one way to do things in their game and it generally plays out the same way every time requiring no thought. I hate to come off sounding haughty. But this really is the case. Their games need to be constant stimulation with little effort to be rewarded.

My predictions of him not making it into the enclave so far are holding true. I can easily see the next fight in the ruins - if he manages to best the first one - absolutely brutalizing him given what they can cast and do.

Got bodied by the game of the year for 2023, then, gets bodied while trolls won the late stream. The amount of cope he's going to huff on the prestream copecast will empty multiple tanks.

I'm going to ask that those of you who want to do session recaps of this, please, don't shy away from being overly autistic as to explaining just why these details are going to matter or are amusing. Phil already is basically illiterate to this property, even though he sperged about the movie that was based on it this year being enjoyable, so there's going to be plenty of grist for that mill and by indulging in more explicit detail as to why the tidbits should be something to see in a playthrough of this game rather than less, you will help normies, like him, who didn't have the joy of imagining themselves and their friends on a quest to a fantastical realm as a social gathering event to experience growing up, who read the thread, understand why this game is such a great entry for the genre that will consistently be being flown over his head stuck in the trough as Khet unloads the goyslop for the day to distract him from his phone pulls, his only true love, going forward to the ragequit.

I can't wait for the delusional cope when he puts this on his "Most Disappointing Games of the Year 2023" list after dropping it. He doesn't need to finish BG3 to get an accurate review however Starfield needed to be finished in order to get his gin full thoughts.

Can't say though I didn't enjoy his Mr. Maggoing around. I understand why his mom did his laundry/cleaned until he moved to Renton.

I wouldn't stress too much about Phil potentially getting spoilers on here. I mean, we don't want to post the solutions or anything, but Phil is obviously using a guide so he'll know about the big encounters, and probably have general tips and recommendations on how/win to fight them. On the plus side, BG3 is trickier to write a guide for because there's a lot of freedom with how you play, and Phil really shot himself in the gouty foot with his particular character because it requires basic understanding and Phil is already fumbling with casting basic damage spells.

Another guide issue is that, while the game isn't technically open world, the areas are still pretty big and the first act especially is pretty nonlinear. There's sort of an overarching goal and something that most people will refer to as a main quest for simplicity sake, but it's actually entirely skipable. You just miss out on a lot of XP so, unless you know what you're doing and can compensate for being lower level, you're going to want to do it.

As a result, a lot of guides are kinda loose with recommendations for things to do between bosses/dungeons and at most might point you in a certain direction, but I can't imagine they go into great detail about how to handle basic fights. That's why Phil struggled with simple bandits so much, despite the game providing a handful of pretty easy win buttons on how to trivialize the fight.

Going back to builds for a second, there's a lot of pretty detailed guides for every class that can trivialize the game. But a lot of them are created for players who already know the game in mind, so they don't really come online until much later. Some are also pretty theoretical, like going for the highest damage possible, but they basically only work end game and will otherwise be pretty lackluster until you're starting the last act. Phil is best with more straightforward guides, like "wait for boss to do X, then spam your attacks" or "you can stand here and the boss can't hit you." The more open nature and RNG elements make it harder to create a sort of checklist style guide that Phil can comprehend.

It's probably DentSydePhils strongest trait, to never disappoint others in their low expectations of him.

Seeing him play smth like BG3 makes me believe Phil was in some sort of special ED class. Nothing else makes sense or would explain, how this retard gets to be the best of his class or even year (can't remember which it was).

Low IQ Phillip will abort this playthrough, just as he should have been aborted to spare Dave the disappointment of being Phils dad.

I'm certain that he won't be able to interact with the world properly, in fights and outside of them. The fact he is too dented to see a red barrel for what it is, speaks volumes.

Sorry for ranting, I'm MATI.

In last night's Daily Wrap, Phil says the only reason that he had a good time playing Baldur's Gate 3, was because he was playing it on stream. He says "If I tried to play that game for myself, I would have fucking hated it."

(I'm unable to embed Youtube videos for some reason, it should be timestamped, but its 2:20 if it doesn't work)
I know next to nothing about the human anatomy but if there is somehow a way to get muscle soreness in the eyesocket region, you can bet that he will get it during this playthrough.
He is darting back and forth from his TV to his chat for literally every decision in the game.
Every level up, every narrative decision and even every single round of combat/every single attack.

I didn't get to watch much, but I tuned in to Raw a couple of times, one right at the save point where he blew up the purple barrel. It was 1:57. So he spent almost 2 hours in character creator, the ship and the beach? That is fucking insanely slow. And he went Sorcerer aye? It could be someone guiding him but who knows. Paladin and Sorcerer are the strongest classes by far, but also the most popular. Race really doesn't matter unless you are min/maxing. And we know Phil only maxes and only on his addictions.

Highlights below:
  • He doesn't talk for 1:30 while listening (reads on dialogue option)
  • Constantly looking at the chat instead of listening to the instructions
  • When he does talk, its high pitched "What the fuck is this"
  • He lifts his glasses and rubs his eyes as if this "puzzle" is ridiculous. They prompt you to repeat it for the dents that might play it, so not sure what's so difficult
  • He chooses the two annoyed options and then for about 45 seconds just sits in silence while reading.
  • Immediately runs Shadowheart into the aura, starts to say "it just" and she dies
  • Switches to Astarion and immediately runs him into the aura but tries to revive her in the aura?
  • Runs Astarion around the aura and he dies. Sits in silence for another 15-30 seconds with the TPK reload screen showing
  • "I don't even know what happened" As he throws a hand up and slaps the knee. Nothing new, starts blaming the game for not telling him about the mechanics while his chat is supposedly telling him the room was on fire
  • Best quote "This is the reason these kind of games are not accessible to a variety streamer like me" What type is that Phil? One's where you have to think? Or where you have to read the journal update or click examine?
  • Still thinks the room is on fire until the chat tells him what it was "If you don't show fire, I don't know that there's fire... you know?" Makes sense since the fire is out and he wasn't on fire
  • Chat tells him about about the aura that is visible on screen - "But I'm supposed to know that, in my first time playing the game I'm supposed to know that" I mean, it's clearly there so yeah, you could at least notice it. I guess since there isn't a flashing red sign telling him what to do he can't be asked to know

I'll give Phil some leniency here - First time I had Gale die in EA was in the Gobo camp after a fight. All my characters were low health and a conversation initiated, so we all died. But I just reviewed what happened and realized the issue. "Examine" is a thing after all. So I can understand a bit of confusion/issue. with it. Larian also released stats early on showing Gale was the number 7th way players died.

I think someone mentioned in the Daily Crap he said is only "enjoying" because of streaming it, which means money. As soon as the money is gone this nigger will drop it. Can you image him going through Act 2? Yeah fucking right. It's not even fun to hate watch this shit. I also think he isn't even attempting to comprehend the systems or mechanics. He's just being handheld by the chat. He does this normally because thinking is hard, but you can't really do that here. Similar to DOS2, you have to take time to make a decent build, get the right gear and level up correctly (and enough). I bet this is how all the SF people feel watching him play and make excuses.

A gamer for how many years now and he doesn't understand barrels and oil near enemies means instakill?

Phil just said that there are "rumors" that certain streamers sent their viewers over to Phil's channel, and that's why he had such massively inflated viewership.

EDIT: Just for context, I don't think he was talking about detractors. I think he's trying to control the narrative about why he had so many viewers, so he's just making shit up.

Lol @ Phil giving a "spoiler warning" for something that happens 1 hour within the game that took him 3 hours to get to

I only heard good things about playing with a controller, yet Phil bitches about it because BG3 is not an fps or action adventure game, so he has to learn something new

Comparing BG3 with Dark Souls because it doesn't hold your hand and you have to learn as you play or learn beforehand (except BG3 has tutorial pop-ups, he just wants a big red arrow telling him to use fire on an enemy that is standing on a oil puddle)
