killed Us "Ack ack ack ack fuck that stupid creature freak" and now getting snippy with the narrator.

He's gonna play a dragonborn sorcerer? He must be following a guide. Phil never misses a chance to indulge his narcissism by making his character look like a buff version of himself, and I find it unlikely that this lazy fucker really wants to mess around with reading spell descriptions, and the extra layer of work vs being a fighter or something.
This is just pure speculation, but I wonder if he didn't understand the guide and picked dragonborn sorcerer because he thought it was the same thing as dragonblooded sorcerer. Which to give him the faintest bit of credit, isn't an unreasonable assumption. Dragonblooded sorcerer can be pretty powerful, but it's available to any race. The big thing is, you get a decent damage bonus to your associated element at level 6. Pretty sure there's a specific lightning build that encourages it (sorc can do a lot of shenanigans to make enemies vulnerable to lightning, then quicken cast a lightning spell in the same turn for double damage)

Dragonborn is widely considered one of the worst races, so it's unlikely any sort of guide would recommend it. It's possible Phil just thought dragons were cool/powerful and went with it, but it feels like Phil normally takes any opportunity he can to recreate himself in a game so it is a little odd. All that being said, it's not like he's screwing himself over, races really don't matter all that much in BG3, it basically boils down to you getting one or two very minor boosts. The biggest thing is the lack of darkvision which might potentially harm him, especially since I doubt he'd think about lighting conditions. But, it gives me a little hope that it means he's already struggling to understand the mechanics and can't follow a guide correctly, so there's definitely no way he'll be able to properly play a sorcerer. I wouldn't say they're the most complex class in the world, but a lot of the cool things they can do (namely things like quicken/twin spell) rely on basic understanding of the game and spells, which Phil naturally lacks.

Dragonborn is possibly the weakest race available. The free resistance is mostly worthless. They don't have darkvision. They have no additional proficiencies. They don't get extra carry weight. Their breath weapon is legit terrible.
So he picked this one to gimp himself as much as possible for maximum manufactured salt so he can check out in record time /or/ he picked this race by way of his soulslike lahgic where he miraculously overcomes the odds all on his own thus proving he's a troo gaymer. Either way it's hard to believe he's not being fed info on the game via The Dented Ones.

"I don't know who Shadowheart is. I don't think I've met them yet!"

Shadowheart in the background: "LET ME OUT!"
100% read something before hand and this talking during cutscenes is mind numbingly stupid, like my kid watches this youtube shorts where the person yells thier reaction like they really don't understand things like a child.
I'm gonna talk about that on the main thread some point but watching him talk over the intro was so fucking jarring. I used to think he talked all the time due to being afraid of dead air, but he really is a fucking child who has to vocalize every internal thought. He's like fucking Paulie laughing at the TV in the Sopranos.

Putting down my prediction so I can come back to it later. I voted for 4 streams until wage quit. He'll suffer through BG3 long enough just to recoup his losses from the slower weeks, then do the following:
  • Not reach Act 2
  • Claim that there's too much bullshit side quests popping up and he has no time for it
  • Claim that it's complete bullshit for a game to "just decide that you failed doing a thing" (I'm expecting he'll say this in some way shape or form)
  • Claim that he's been right all along and this does not deserve GOTY (I'm just not seeing it, guys, I don't understand how anyone would think this is GOTY material)
  • Make at least $1200 in total for all streams
  • Drop it because "not a lot of people are enjoying it and I certainly don't"

Not to sound like a fag, but I've already beaten the game on honor mode. If you guys have any questions about BG3 or D&D in general I can answer them.
What race/class and party?
