Nah they've always been called Mindflayers with the exception of some mistranslations such as Mind Flare, Piscodemons are a variant on Mindflayer usually being a blue colour instead of pink.

eh It's worse than I thought it would be...

So is the Dragon race part of some OP build or is DSP just retarded and thinks he can make some really powerful mage? I feel like he is handicapping himself massively but that this might be some build he knows about because he kept bringing up the fucking dragon race whenever he saw it.

He's gonna play a dragonborn sorcerer? He must be following a guide. Phil never misses a chance to indulge his narcissism by making his character look like a buff version of himself, and I find it unlikely that this lazy fucker really wants to mess around with reading spell descriptions, and the extra layer of work vs being a fighter or something.

Dragonborn is possibly the weakest race available. The free resistance is mostly worthless. They don't have darkvision. They have no additional proficiencies. They don't get extra carry weight. Their breath weapon is legit terrible.

This is going to crash and burn. Phail has no idea how the magic system works and he's going to screw himself by picking dogshit spells, which the sorcerer is stuck with until the next levelup.

So this retard probably skimmed some build, saw the bonuses, and decided the dragon race was going to be really powerful. How badly is he going to gimp himself with this shitty build he didn't even bother paying attention to?

It's been more than a decade since I played any D&D (certainly not edition 5), but any kind of wizard used to be notoriously difficult to play from level 1. They are practically useless without a party. Newer editions probably made them more approachable, because they were absolute dogshit.

100% read something before hand and this talking during cutscenes is mind numbingly stupid, like my kid watches this youtube shorts where the person yells thier reaction like they really don't understand things like a child.

EDIT - yup read a guide. just mentioned how he doesn't want to suck at the game and his ego won't let him so he looked up stuff about the game before hand

They made them more bearable at early levels but it's pretty much still the same progression where they're weak as fuck at level 1 but eventually become fucking demigods.
