His "retrospectives" were him watching his own videos as chosen by his dentheads, but he vetted them after the first couple of times, people managed to sneak in uncomfortable moments that he had to skip past, like his face reveal video where he explicitly told people to click on the ads.

That's what I thought but I couldn't remember if he'd ever watched an actual thydp and I felt like it had been the MGS one.

I know he tried to get his fans to make him highlight videos but hated them for making him look bad at the games despite being as generous as possible.

I wish Phil would do a Let's Watch Infomercials stream like Jerma did just so I could watch his brain process consumerism at work.

The fact that he said he might react to more DTRH videos is funny since he always shits on people like keemstar making drama content. He also said he could only react to freds videos since he got permission and reaction videos are illegal. Fair use law isn't super clear but the Matt Hoss h3h3 case set legal precedent in favor of reaction videos, and the reality is fuck loads of youtubers make money off them. Phil is always resistant to change, filming his tv with a camera for years, so hell probably start making other reaction videos, he certainly wont be stopped by principles if his drama videos are any indication.

What is more likely is that him, as a narcissist, has managed to convince and rationalize to himself how begging is actually acceptable (the "crowdfunded individual" excuse) and not humiliating at all, along with various reasons, excuses and semantics about everything else.

People have seemed to notice that he doesn't delete too many tweets anymore where he outright demands that more people "drop by and support the stream", so clearly he used to be more embarrassed or at least a little ashamed that he would stoop that low to garner for money.

Sometimes he still seems to remove the community channel posts after a period of time as he used that as a way to reach as many people as possible on his channel, but if you put that factor aside there is an absolute certainty in an increase in begging and any moment where too much time has passed without a tip or not enough people are tipping aside from the two usual big whales per stream, the gloves are off, either people aren't interested in what he has to offer or "I don't what else to do at this point, why was support so slow? I have no fucking idea man..."

Welp, I guess he's left with no choice but to resort to do react content for the rest of his working days.

Let me explain why Phil’s React videos are the way they are (fucking unbearable).

In a typical ‘Reaction’ video, the audience watches along with the streamer/YouTuber the video being reacted to. The streamer/Youtuber basically keeps company with the audience and offers passing remarks as the video is being played. If the streamer/YouTuber wants to say something more substantial, they would pause the video. What they say will always be relevant to the video. The audience is interested in the video as much as they are interested in the reaction (if not more).

In Phil’s ’Reaction’ videos, the audience is there to listen to and watch Phil and only Phil. This is how Phil wants it. The video that he’s watching literally doesn’t matter. This is why he interrupts the video to interject as much as possible and to make it about himself. It’s entirely on purpose.

There is nothing wrong with Phil’s approach, per se, but it, as many other things, exposes his autism because:

1. He insists this is the best way to do it.
2. He demands all attention to himself.

This clip is worth watching because it displays his obstinance very well. What his viewers think is irrelevant because they’re wrong. Phil’s way is the best way and if you don’t see that, you’re a dunce. Phil has cracked the code of ‘Reaction’ videos. Only he has found the way of making them ‘quality khantent’.

I don't think Phil is wrong with that. There are plenty of awful reactors out there shitting out lazy content like he says.

But Phil the Narcissist doesn't understand that stopping the video and doing a 10 minute rant about yourself is garbage. Nor will he understand when his reacting views crumble and blames everyone for suggesting the idea to him.

It's also apparent that he is intentionally missing the point of why "people" "wanted" him to "react" to videos in the first place. They wanted him to react to videos about him and explain his actions beyond a "didn't happen" like his "debunk stream". His reliance on DTRH is more likely because FK is the only non-lolcow that was willing to give him the time of day. Combine it with the videos he's likely getting requests for being a bad look for him (like TIHYDPs) and he likely doesn't have any ideas of his own for videos to watch.

Also it's easier to assume that there's no low he can't stoop to. Every time we think he can't get any scummier or lazier, he always proves us wrong. Once the desperation kicks in, he's more than likely going to cover those topics just out of spite alone.

I think DSP was averaging a pause in the video being watched every like 45 seconds for pigsplaining his king of cope narc injury on the Wings video, did he improve that average length until a pigsplain pause this time or did he continue to literally stop every minute to explain to the wheelchairs why tips help him the most this time? I won't watch it because he's fucking gross and I don't care about his opinions on topics, just his salt. I do appreciate Fred detracting by suggesting a cult money bilking topic for a reaction though, even if I find his content meh quite often.
