It must've been between the release of Burning Crusade in Jan 2007 and the Fall of 2007 before the teaser trailer at the tail end of the year. That video I posted a few days ago that had Jay Brushwood talk about it gives an idea. He joined the team after Quake Wars: ET which was in the Fall of 2007 and this is when 3D Realms was on the verge of total collapse. He said by the time he was hired he didn't see any of that. Someone must've told George (specifically Scott Miller) that it was either focus or 3D Realms would end as a studio. Brian Hook joined the team just a few months after in Feb 2008 and pretty much was able to override George. I assume one of the major reasons that was the case is because Brian was a prominent programmer for ID in the late 90's along with being Lead Programmer at SoE/Verant for Everquest thus could school George in anything and everything about the projects delay.i remember an old interview where was too busy playing burning crusade
