Apparently for years now, some nobody named __NOINDEX__ been adding his name to the personnel listing on albums and songs, claiming he was a member of Alice Cooper's band and has played with Carrie Underwood, and on the TV show Nashville.

How much free time can a person have to spend years, years, misleadingly adding your name to other artists' articles?
Doing that for years is a little disturbing.
Sadly, this is not the only time I've seen this happen. For many years, an anonymous editor kept adding his own name to a couple Olivia Newton-John song articles, claiming that he sang backing vocals on those songs. This even got to the point that a couple other sources quoted the wrong name. I added a source verifying the correct name of the backing vocalist (which was not hard to corroborate, since the correct backing vocalist has his own article), but the anonymous editor kept reverting it to his name. There were times when he would revert it to his name not even a minute after I fixed it. And he kept editing from different IP addresses, so an IP block was completely ineffectual. Temporarily protecting the article didn't work, because he would hit it up again only minutes after the lock expired. The only result was to permanently semi-protect both articles from being edited by anonymous users.
I could see why someone might do something like this once or twice, especially to a lesser known song. After all, the article is likely to have fewer eyes watching it, and so it might go undetected for longer. It's not like this person's saying they sang backing vocals for, say, Justin Timberlake. But to keep re-inserting yourself again and again, for years? Clearly the sign of someone with too much time on their hands.
Good morning.
Because the posts of this forum show up in search results, I felt the need to respond to the posts I quoted above.
First off, your link doesn't show me anything. I have no idea what I am to be looking at there. My name isn't appearing anywhere on that page.
But, more importantly, your post says that I am the one posting things. WRONG. That statement couldn't be further from the truth.
I have never posted anything on Wikipedia. I don't even have an account. The extent of my Wikipedia usage happens when I throw something into a search engine and I click a link to read/learn about the subject I was searching.
To say that I am the one doing those things may be a legal issue called liable? I am not a lawyer, that would need to be answered by one if I chose to consult with one. But you at least see where I am coming from.
I am not going to waste time arguing over my resume (especially since I do not know what all was said to warrant such a post). But I will make it very clear that I have never done anything on Wikipedia. Whether it is true or false, any information put there was not put there by me. Also, since everyone is entitled to their opinion, if you want to call me a nobody, then I certainly can't stop you. Particularly since not everyone in the business is the man in front of a camera (aka, a celebrity), this could easily make them appear as a "nobody" to those outside of the business. But I can absolutely, 100% truthfully, sit here and say that I HAVE NEVER DONE ANYTHING ON WIKIPEDIA.
At least a few of my assignments are listed there (in case it wasn't evident from my first sentence, I ego-surf), the same as they are listed on other sites. But, again, they certainly weren't put there by me. Nor was any alleged false information put there by me. I cannot repeat this enough, I HAVE NEVER DONE ANYTHING ON WIKIPEDIA.
Maybe I should join, just to find out what has been going on? But that is an issue for another day. Right now the issue is here on kiwifarms.
I have my own website (a file sharing social media domain that has over 10 million active users), as well as other business ventures that have their own websites. If I wanted to, I could surely put out information and fake stories at any or all of those places. But I don't have time for that sort of non-sense. I don't even use one business to self-promote my other businesses. So, to say that I am the one doing things is just as false as the information you say I said.
I will repeat that one last time:
Saying that I have am the one doing these things is just as false as the things you said I said.

"Your Honor, this user said something about me that wasn't TRUE AND HONEST on an obscure website." Yeah good luck with the lolsuit buddy. To say that I am the one doing those things may be a legal issue called liable? You a fan of Taylor Swift and Buffy?
As if shit like "manspreading" and all pony bullshit are notable outside of niche sources.
I dunno dude, you seemed to brag about owning "a file sharing social domain with over 10 million users." So I think you'd be more than happy to talk about your "resume" on a no name site. I'll bite, do you mind posting a link to your popular social media domain. Also how is Dauphin Pennsylvania this time of year?Like I said - not here to discuss my resume.
But I do want it known, that the original post said that I was one posting. I was NOT the one posting anything.
That's my issue here on kiwifarms. I can deal with Wikipedia over on Wikipedia. But on kiwifarms, I am dealing with what was said on kiwifarms.
I did not post anything.

And then you wonder why some people keep publicly accessible mailing addresses while safely residing somewhere else. I've used that address for over 20 years. It's public information. No secret there. Also how is __NOINDEX__ this time of year?
A website full of trolls. Designed to bait people. Sure, I get it. It doesn't change the fact that the postings show up in search results. At least now anyone coming here will also see that I am not the one doing it.How do people register without knowing what kind of site this is? You still posted. What were you thinking?
I don't speak Wikipedian, so I don't fully understand what that all means. But thank you for posting a link that works so that I can find out.weblink
