Dumb Shit on Wikipedia

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
Sure, I get it. It doesn't change the fact that the postings show up in search results. At least now anyone coming here will also see that I am not the one doing it.
Looks like's telling the truth, guys.

Guess we gotta delete those posts now. Wouldn't want to ruin an innocent man's reputation, after all.

Ok. I'll bite. Wikipedia administration accuse some anonymous person, who let's say may or may not be you, of falsely adding your name to a large number of articles as a secondary performer. We know a few things about this person:

-They make edits across a wide number of artcles.

-They make edits from various IP's, mostly in philadelphia. I hypothesize these are, perhaps, restaurant wifi connections in an area much like the map on your facebook.

-They do so obsessively. Edits are sometimes reverted within minutes, and if an article is temp protected this person waits until the moment protection expires to make the edits again.

-By coincidence you Google yourself constantly, arriving in this thread despite it mentioning your name, like, once. It's only barely at the bottom of the first Google page now, it was probably further back before. By the way it's going to keep climbing as you argue with us, Richard Madenfort.

That is pretty crazy. This would normally paint the picture if someone incredibly determined to pad their resume and/or impress easy women in bars ('Did I tell you I know Lady Gaga?')

So if this person is not you, who spends so much of their time with lying about your accomplishments to strangers on the internet? You must know them, I cannot imagine someone does this to a complete stranger. If a complete stranger just wanted to make you look bad they would say you're a pedophile or something. So who is lying about your resume in fast food restaurants all over pennsylvania? Does a rival hope to get you accused of fraud? Does your mother really think you need the resume padding? Have you noticed this before, considering you probably Google yourself at least once a month, and did you try to do anything about it? What is it, Richard Madenfort?

So wait, us making a little mistake hurts your reputation but claiming to be involved with lots of musicians and tv shows doesn't? I'm confused.
1. I haven't seen the "false" entries on Wikipedia to know what was said.
2. I have said before, I can deal with that stuff over there. On this site, I am only concerned with what was said on this site.

Yes, I have seen things like this before. He ended up in jail. Not specifically for the postings (most of which have been deleted), but for other things related to me.

Oh really? In this fantasy world where someone is deliberating editing Wiki articles to make you look like you know so many people, can you hear yourself talk? You'd be lucky if people believe even 10% of this.

A website full of trolls. Designed to bait people. Sure, I get it. It doesn't change the fact that the postings show up in search results.

Does it change the fact you came here with the explicit purpose of arguing with people you know aren't going to believe you or care about you in the slightest? Does any of this suggest we'll edit anything to appease you?

Next thing you know this nigga is gonna come over here and gut us like a salmon then write a Wikipedia article about it.

This is a legitimate article on Thompson/Center Arms.

But wtf is up with this opening paragraph, especially the last half? There's some serious autism going on here.

Thompson/Center Arms is an American firearms company based in Springfield, Massachusetts. The company is best known for its line of interchangeable-barrel, single-shot pistols and rifles. Thompson/Center also manufactures muzzle-loading rifles and is credited with creating the resurgence of their use in the 1970s. Emmett Ronaine founded the company. The business was later bought and destroyed. The people who bought it only wanted it for the name. Thompson Center produced one of the most accurate guns of its time. Now Thompson Center is no where near as good as it used to be. Emmett Ronaine was a very smart man. Without Emmett, there would be no Thompson Center.
