Dumb Shit on Wikipedia

Honestly, I think they were reasonably fair in portraying her and her campaign and the reaction to it. But then there’s the parts about every actor that mocked her which seems a but overkill (and only is allowed in articles about people that are disliked).

And those last 2 paragraphs are completely irrelevant to her, she had already left public life at that point. The article writer clearly just couldn’t allow the article to end with her actually winning.

I remember the gay obsession with her even when I was young, it seemed obsessive and excessive. The way she was endlessly tarred and feathered to the point where they openly wanted to destroy her life was one of the reasons why I thought even 20 years ago that eventually the supreme court would make gay marriage a 'right'. If she was already the butt of pop culture jokes in the 1970s for these mostly symbolic boomer campaigns, it should have been obvious they were going to be ultimately useless.

This is fairly harmless autistic dumbness, but when they have categories that have absolutely no purpose.

I was reading an article on Rick Allen, the one-armed drummer of Def Leppard, and came to the bottom to find this:

English amputees? What the fuck do these two things have to do with each other? Why is there a category? Why not Lebanese snorkelers?

One of the first summary paragraphs on the page for George Washington is devoted to him being a slave owner. While factually important I don't think it should be one of the main paragraphs and legacy of the mans life. And the rest of the paragraph reads like a measure of how "woke" he was.

Their logic is confusing. I thought everyone who owned slaves in the past are consider evil by wokies. Yet Washington is also supposedly woke too?

Someone has a hate boner for Bolsonaro's old party. I assume Bolsonaro is treated the same way as Trump on Brazilian Wikipedia. Also their citations for the party being far right are three fucking articles with that buzzword in the title.

That is the most bipolar paragraph I've ever read. One minute it's how evil he was for owning slaves, next it's praising his apparent wokeness. I suppose Washington is thankfully still a scared enough cow not to slaughter before the pyres to appease the Woke Gods.

Give them time. They need to figure out how to pivot from still maintaining a pretense they're an encyclopedia to turning it into full killwhiteypedia.

I also think that eventually leftists will decide (if they haven't already) that there is no such thing as a 'good' slaveowner, no matter how progressive he supposedly was. It seems extreme now, but I can't see the capital of the US being still called 'Washington' in 50 years.

That's IF the US still exists in 50 years.

To be fair Nintendo is known for their autistic copyright policy.

Bear in mind most of these polls are based at least partly on nostalgia. Notice it is mostly shitholes or backwater countries with nostalgiafor communism. That's due to the same mentality a lot of Americans on the right look back fondly at the 50s. Streets were clean, people were well dressed, society was for the most part in order, etc. It's not so much wanting Communism to return as much as it is wanting the stability in your life communism provided.
Yeah

I give a little credit to the guys willing to fight and keep it semi-sane - particularly using the glaring example that the whole point of Russiagate was to deny Trump's legitimacy, and then destroy him.

Also LOL at the leftist 'Viriditas' crying about 'breaking the western (Atlantic) alliance', since when did NATO become some litmus test? The whole thing should have been dissolved in 1991-2 just like the Warsaw Pact.

They should change the name to "George Floyd City."

They should change the name to "George Floyd City."

They did have a proposal in the DC statehood bill to change what 'DC' is an abbreviation for, 'Douglas Commonwealth' ie named for Frederick Douglas, so it's not as far fetched as you might think.

I didn't look into the why as to what they wanted to remove 'Columbia', which was an older name for the entire western hemisphere, but I imagine it's probably because Christopher Columbus has long been relegated to the bad file - they just removed statues of him from Columbus, Ohio, you know, a city named for him.

Petition to have DC stand for D'george C'floyd

DC statehood is such a retarded thing as well. There is a way for those people to vote, and it's called rejoining what state the land was taken from. Alexandria, Virginia did it before the Civil War.

But no, the whole thing is so the Dems can get a surefire two extra seats in Senate and who knows how many in the House.
