Dumb Shit on Wikipedia

Can someone explain to me where this Wikipedia saying Ash Ketchum from Pokémon, being an atheist, comes from? I been looking up every Pokémon wiki I can find and still can't find a source. Fictional atheist and agnostic pages in general are very autistic as fuck. Is this just Wikipedia bullshit someone making up?

Someone's Tumblr headcanons, apparently. I'm not kidding, this is what the "source" was. Some Tumblr post that got 50 interactions in eight years. Got deleted about a month ago, though. It was added in July 2022 by some IP address, but had been removed in late 2016. The original entry was added in November 2014 without a source. I suspect that one, or all, of these IPs involved in creating and/or protecting the Ash entry may be this random Tumblr user, but there's not really any hard evidence for that.

That's retarded. Of course it's true.

There is more evidence of Mario being Muslim than Ash Ketchum being an atheist. This is stupid and pathetic even for Wikipedia.

Don't forget, thousand eyes mean vandalism gets fixed immediately!

Actually, why does this article exist at all? List-type articles for fictional characters bearing certain traits will inevitably become a pointless list of autism as somebody tries to compile every character that ever existed into this category. At least “an article for every Pokémon” would require at least some basic information rather than “this guy might fit x category”

The leftover autism from the days when tumblr was big before the porn ban that killed that site caused tumblr users to migrate to Twitter. Old tumblr was just obsessed with cartoon characters being atheists as they were with Fluttershy being transgender because she has boyish eyebrows or squidward being asexual because he is not married.

I am surprised the fictional atheists and agnostic lists are so small, considering marvel comics had a trend in the 2010s turning every popular marvel character into atheists. They even made Daredevil an atheist for a short while and magneto being Jewish barely comes up now. DC comics' big payoff of the Batman wedding storyline is Bruce Wayne becoming an atheist because Catwoman left him for Bane.

There are lots of busybodies who want to "contribute" to Wikipedia but have no practical knowledge, skill with wiki markup, or eye for spotting typos, and these are the only articles they can add anything substantial to. You've gotta let them have a few of these because otherwise they will wander all over the site and fuck up the articles for yttrium and hieroglyphics.

Because Wikipedia has an infestation of TVTropes-tier autism. Hell, the site can basically be described now as TVTropes meets RationalWiki.

A reminder that Molly White aka GorillaWarfare has her own thread (although it's still pretty thin soup):

That's Molly exactly. A soulless woke shut-in raised by the Internet.

Theres only two interesting/funny things about Molly after checking that whole thread.

She was doxxed by 4chan in 2012 after her face was on the wikipedia donation banner

I came upon this gem on the disambiguation page for Final Solution:

Far-right and overall bad. This is what they call encyclopedic.

Meanwhile, a user on the talk page for the Farms rebutted the article's false suicide claims, and got hatted and redacted:

So I went to look up those archived discussions, and they really are great.

Suspicious claims can't be labeled as such because the people making the suspicious claims, journalists hostile to KF, haven't written anything saying so. Null's statements about Near can't even be alluded to because these same hostile writers haven't commented on it. One assumes that any mention of the fairminded coverage by Jesse Singal (aka @jsingal69) would be zapped immediately for being an WP:RSSELF violation.

By the way, this GorillaWarfare editor says on her user page that she is "busy in real life", but she is still participating in discussions on the KF talk page.

I went to take a look at what shes been doing. Autistic play by play of the Sam Bankman Fried case. Going further back, she was probably pissed when she found out her prominent Antifa mutual follower was hit by Musk.

I do love how Andy Ngo was almost killed by ANTIFA yet somehow he's the extreme terrorist. I do love Lefties mind sets.

According to Wikipedia something is only reliable if corporations pay you to write it. So Taylor Lorenz is reliable but not Jesse Singal or Destiny.
