Dumb Shit on Wikipedia

Turkey is a good example of this where they demand everything back, even from millennia before the Turks moved to Anatolia, and have a horrific track record of preserving and researching archaeological sites.
They refuse to return the Siloam inscription to Israel as well, which makes their kvetching even more hypocritical.

Even if these places had stable governments and cultures which respected them, I wouldn't want them returned. Turkey is a good example of this where they demand everything back, even from millennia before the Turks moved to Anatolia, and have a horrific track record of preserving and researching archaeological sites.

I don't want any of these artifacts being returned to these countries except on specific loans where they are legally still museum property, because it seems to deter most criminal theft.
I guess it sucks then that Gobekli Tepe is in Turkey, considering it's one of the most significant archeological sites of all time. The digging and research of it seems to be going fine as of now, but there's always a risk. Too bad it's not something we can move.

There is Hasankeyf, an entire ancient city the Turks flooded for a damming project. The Walls of Theodosius are crumbling in many places, and a ton of ancient archaeological sites are left to decay and be picked apart by looters because the Turkish government refuses any official digs for absurd reasons.

The Turks track record for archaeological sites is horrendous. I believe there is some Hittite site they paved over for a park, and a ton of former Greek Orthodox Churchs which were converted to mosques and secularized into museums under Ataturk are becoming Mosques again, meaning their murals and artwork are being covered with plaster and shit.

Sorry for putting this thread off topic, I tend to spergout on archaeology because it is one of my autistic niches.

I will never forget reading the talk page of the Kiwi Farms article where the editors where debating whether any contrary evidence of the "deaths" of the Sacred Four Victims of stacker Joshua Connor Moon and his Kiwi Farms should be allowed in. Then suddenly I read the single most retarded thing I've ever seen.

Wikipedia isn't about truth it's about consensus.

I don't know who to blame for this is it the trannies or the tranny enablers. Is this God's punishment upon the wicked world.

God I hate Pisslam. Say what you like about Catholicism, even when they hated some idolatrous shit, they preserved it, even if it was to hide it for centuries. There is an amazing amount of history we only still have thanks to Catholicism.

They've been hellbent on being biased and believing they themselves believe rather than what others believe

Female deities who are humanoid are called women, because they look human.

Turkey is par for the course for developing nations in terms of archaeology. It's not much different than, say, all the US hydropower projects in the 30s-50s flooding precolonial Indian ruins in the South or all the Civil War battlefields turned into strip malls and fast food (oh wait never mind, that's the most American thing ever).

Covering up old church murals and icons with plaster is actually a good thing BTW since if done right (key word) it protects it from the elements. Look what's happening at Pompeii to see what happens to murals left exposed and open to the public.

Ah yes, because someone named "A Socialist Trans Girl" is exactly who I trust to tell me what a woman is.

GlaDOS is a woman because SHE WAS A REAL FUCKING WOMAN BEFORE SHE WAS A COMPUTER (Caroline, Cave Johnson's assistant). It's even in the wiki page for GlaDOS.
